Nothing silly or flawed about that logic, superheroes, when well written, don't even break the laws of physics... Between that and the fact that they don't exist in our world, it's a lot easier to suspend belief for superheroes or super-stuff than when something as little as a detail occurs and we know the logical consequences in the real world and the consequences on-screen are different from that.

Maybe the hands/mirror thing is a nitpick, I did think about it but it didn't bother me, just explaining why the logic is valid.

How does Superman fly, let alone lift literl tons while flying?

I am relaxed... People really need to see the person behind the computer before they make the accusation... but when I see stuff like that brought up (and you aren't the only one)... It's a bit of a head scratcher. It would be hard to tell on here, but I had a sarcastic tone. I am very relaxed. This kind of stuff doesn't spoil my day. Breaking a 400 dollar premium format after a night of drinking, is stress. Dealing with the loss of a father and grandmother in the past seven months, can be stressful. I am very much relaxed on this. I was merely poking fun at those who come with these so-called arguments that the show is flawed for the above reasoning. In the end, I don't really care... seems like I do, but I don't. I just love yammering for the sake of yammering. Thus, the "STFU Eli" comment was born.

Fair enough. Just with all the back & forth that's gone on in this thread your post seemed like an anti-complainer attack. Since I've been more open-minded about the show than other people I felt your post was misdirected. Though GasparZizou has a point as to why a detail like what I pointed out would stand out despite this being a ridiculous superhero universe.

I disagree with the logic being valid. Especially when it is much more believable to think a person who is highly trained, can ignore his hands and looking away from mirrors. In the end, he slipped up anyway, because he's human, after all? But I especially think the logic is skewed when it involves a world with things that do defy physics. I don't care how written something is.... it doesn't defy physics.

Like I said, it didn't bother me, exactly because of that, I thought a secret agent would be more than capable of driving without using the mirrors, so no problemo there.

And like I said, a well written superhero doesn't break the laws of physics, Superman for example, every one of his powers has been explained to this day.

Someone can write the crap out of a handkerchief having the ability of human thought and expression, but it doesn't take away from the fact it defies all sorts of things...

Pffft there are a number of possible explanations, one is that he can manipulate his own magnetic field, magnetic domain, or his own bioelectrical field, nothing that doesn't already exist on a theoretical paper, proven or not.

To the crazier ones when with his strength he can compress the air into turning into a solid platform.

They have to bring in Strucker. He is so engrained into the whole SHIELD story. I would also like to see it lean just a little more into the espionage like the comic. I know they changed the name to get more into super humans but the spy game played such an important part to the legend of SHIELD.

Baron Von Strucker would be perfect as the main bad on Shield, but I feel Marvel might be holding him for a Captain America film.

Also would like to see Dum Dum Duggan and some other well known SHIELD Agents To become part of the main cast.

The Infinity Formula is one of those things that (barely) works on the comic page, not so well on the screen. Also if the audience watching Agents of SHIELD learns there's an injection for keeping people young it starts a long list of questions - including where is Agent Carter?

I don't see a problem with it as long as the formula stays lost.
It doesn't have to be the Infinity Formula, they could introduce the grandson of Dugan or Gabe Jones and I'd be happy with that as long as Dugan keeps the bowler hat and red mustache.
Anything to make this show more of an adaptation of the Shield Comics I'm all for.

"Any theoretical paper, proven or not"... The word theory has a different meaning in physics, since physics are models that represent nature, some models cannot possibly get to the bottom of the matter (like absolute 0 temperatures), theories are often generalizations of certain phenomena, hence why some theories are considered facts, in fact, there's no shortage of laws that are merely conventions and not really demonstrable.

Those are theories of why Superman flies, and said theories don't break any laws of physics.

In fact, most theories are considered facts until disproved.

The only power superman has that can possible be odd, is the x-ray vision because it's not defined if it's really x-ray vision or simply see-through vision.

Ok, just got around to watching the 4th ep, wife had watched it already and said I was going to like it.

She wasn't kidding, just WOW!

Best one yet!

It was better than most Bond movies!

This episode was smart, exciting, well written, well acted and fun!

If the quality remains at this level, Marvel will have successfully blown anything away ever created by WB/DC for the TV and even some of their movies.

I got more enjoyment watching this episode than I did GL, TDKR and MOS.

Keep bringing the fun Marvel.

Ok, just got around to watching the 4th ep, wife had watched it already and said I was going to like it.

She wasn't kidding, just WOW!

Best one yet!

It was better than most Bond movies!

This episode was smart, exciting, well written, well acted and fun!

If the quality remains at this level, Marvel will have successfully blown anything away ever created by WB/DC for the TV and even some of their movies.

I got more enjoyment watching this episode than I did GL, TDKR and MOS.

Keep bringing the fun Marvel.

It's amazing how Coulson's interactions with the other characters carry more weight and brings out more emotions than Talia's and Pa Kent's deaths combined.
