I dont understand why lsf are open es. they should just say we are going to keep making them until noone buys any for 1 year then we will put sold out. :panic: lol i like some of the lsf and lifesf but, they are very price to have so many floating around I'll prob just try and pick one up in the 2nd hand market and get it for half the price :blissy

THIS is most likely the design they will be using or at least close to it. It was done by the Artgerm who is the same guy who designed Ivy

I could only hope your right.

Well if you to to the SSC Experience page they show how the Artgerms work was worked up and eventually became the basis for the Ivy PF. Since they also made the point of showing CW and Harley in he same article I am assuming they are planning to use these as a basis for those PFs. I would agree that I would love this design maybe with a switchout head looking forward. Fix the stumped left arm and get it to the sculptors...:lecture

Its called foreshortening :lol

Nope, it is called failed foreshortening. if it was done properly the left forearm would be longer and thicker then the right; the right is longer. Also, the left elbow and biceps would be turned more towards us instead of to the side and the would both be bigger and thicker the they are. As thy are drawn now they are just in profile and stumpy. It isn't a huge issue because I am sure it will be fixed in the sculpt, but as a guy who has been on a foreshortening training camp of sorts over the last 5 years, trying to get it right, bad foreshortening jumps out at me right away. Now his work is far superior to mine, but this one piece has that one flaw.

Not if they have a switchout head that looks forward as well. That way you could display her coming and going:lecture:rotfl

I guess that would solve the issue, but if the 2nd sculpt sucks, your screwed. How many times on a comic statue with 2 sculpts, are both sculpts equally great? I'd say very very few.

This is true. I guess that is simply a mater of creative control. For example the Captain America TFA heads are awesome, but the QC on Rogue made both the heads on Rogue a crap shoot.

Good post.

Foreshortening is one of the most difficult art techniques to master. It is hard to do even if you have an exact photographic reference to go by, much less if you're working from imagination alone.

With that said, I'd really prefer for this particular work NOT to be used. The torso is way too long, and the butt-forward pose is contrived and stupid-looking.

I'd say you have just as high of a chance of getting a good single sculpt of something than you do getting two good sculpts of something, unless you're referring to the QC in which case that seems more situational than anything :dunno

I think having the second sculpt be looking forward is a great idea myself. Would definitely give people an unusual amount of freedom with how they place/pose the statue too.

Thanks Ram

I will be honest I use toe avoid foreshortening like the plague until one day, after getting a lot of help, it started to just CLICK. I still struggle EVERYTIME I take a stab at it, but it is coming along.

While I don't hate the pose, I do think the torso could use a slight turn. It would make it look more natural and alluring in my opinion. Here is a google image search with tones of examples https://www.google.ca/search?q=mode...XlyAGVz4CwCA&ved=0CAkQ_AUoAQ&biw=1024&bih=672
