Re: Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light PF

Congrats. This is THE piece to go next to Nate. No question. Unless of course they make any others.

It's one of THE nicest pieces I own and I'm having Adam Hughes sign the print. :D

Honestly I don't care for the print. I'm really not the biggest AH fan and I find Tim Miller simply tweaked the statue so that it's now miles above teh print.

It's definitely one of my favorite statues for sure.

She's gorgeous!!

Whats wrong w/the paint on the back of her right arm?

Re: Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light PF

I prefer how AH did the face, but this piece is still one of Sideshow's best in my opinion. Fantastic base, excellent sculpt, good QC, and great usage of mixed media.

It's nice to see someone who isn't completely OCD with their statues. Some of the reasons people try to exchange their stuff is ridiculous. Just a tiny little splotch of paint out of place and they'll demand a refund. :lol

Ouch.. :slap

Yeah.. but it's a big eyesore. And for $350. Thats a lot of money. It's still damage. Although you can think of it as battle damage Laura, since it looks like a flesh wound. :lol

Heck yeah. For $350. Im sorry I dont have money to drop on every single piece sideshow has to offer. I dont know if Id want to go through all the trouble to return it, when I get it like that, but its still an eyesore and disappointing. For that amount of money, I do expect to have somewhat of a flawless piece.

Re: Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light PF

Well the reason I'm not bothering with the return is:

1. like is said it's on the back of the arm so the way it's going to be displayed you won't ever see it. (and honestly the pic makes it look bigger than it it). If it were in plain view I'd return it tough.

2. The PF has a lot of "scary" parts. Lara's hair, all the leaves on the plants.... and so if I were to return it for a tiny paint issue I'm never going to see I might get more headaches with broken pieces.

Re: Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light PF

I have just received this statue today and I can't believe hardly NO ONE until now decided to make a thread for this statue! I think this statue probably wasn't paid much attention to is because of how the Tomb Raider series have been going downhill for sometimes and Guardian of Light was just a cheap arcade game on PSN/Xbox360 Arcade. Therefore, it doesn't have a significant value to people's eyes. Better get this thing quick before they go up on Ebay!

Other reasons:

1. This could be the last time you will EVER see Lara Croft have nice sexy bewbs. The new Tomb Raider isn't going in the direction of her having big boobs so this is can be a tribute to her previous form in the glory of a BEAUTIFUL AND SEXY PF!

2. I agree with Drakul on having Nathan next to Lara! I would kill to see Naughty Dog and Square-Enix allow a partnership in bringing these two together in a GAME! (Low chance of it happening)

3. Lots of action in this statue that doesn't feel like its just a pose.

4. Lots of details on that platform.

5. Cool gadgets!

6. Her chest! I can't stop looking at them! Best boob job I have seen on a PF! :rotfl It was the first thing all my friends talked about once they saw it today online or in person.

This statue deserves ALOT more attention instead of being thrown off the side because of her disappointing career for the past years.

I didn't care for the print either. To me it's just gone up in value since I'll be able to see Adam next month.

If that were mine, SSC would have received it back in their dept. I can't live with that. To each his own. You're okay with it? Then that is really great.

Threads merged.

Thank goodness.

Looks like she got a few scratches from... I dunno... parkouring in the woods, on ancient aztec ruins and kicking asses. Take advantage of it though. Do let SSC know and they will give you a credit around the $40 mark to apply on a future purchase. I got $90 from SSC because of a small broken hair strand on Skaar (which I've fixed and you wouldn't know) and a small scuff on the back of my Captain America movie PF (barely noticeable unless you remove the arm and zoom right in on there.
