Airwolf intro VS Knight Rider intro

In terms of the music alone, Airwolf is much better. However, the visuals of the Knight Rider intro make it better overall. The car, David Hasslehoff, the hot chick, and the tech makes it look much cooler.

On music in particular, I think that Street Hawk is one of the best 80's intros, by Tangerine Dream, who also did the Risky Business and Legend scores.

Miami Vice has one of the best intros ever, better than all mentioned as far as I'm concerned, however, it is a different type of show. Airwolf-hi tech helicopter, Knight Rider-hi tech car. Someone else brought up Blue Thunder, another hi tech helicopter, so of course I thought of Street Hawk, hi tech motorcycle. The next thing I think of is a hi tech boat. Does The Love Boat count? lol
