The profile does look a lot like Pacino... but straight on he's just too wrinkled and sad looking.

Perhaps the sculptor was trying to capture the sadness in Pacino's heart while filming the movie.

Somehow I managed to completely miss this thread...

Although there is a likeness some where in the sculpt, the head just looks squished. Too bad, as it is a very interesting subject.
