We did and they learned and grew. Something Mondo is going to have to do.
Right now Mondo doesn't need to grow. If this Hellboy print had 850 like the Stout Star Wars, they would be on the site for months. Mondo doesn't want stuff just sitting in their store. The only reason these sell out so fast is the ES is somewhat low and there is hype. People think they are going to make a killing on ebay for these because they saw a Moss or Stout sell for $$$. In reality, most of these don't sell that well in the short term. In a couple years I won't be surprised if these prints sell for a couple hundred bucks, but that isn't going to happen right now.

Part of the fun is the hunt. The fact you have something that someone else may not have. I left my computer on all night for the star wars stout drop .. with tweetdeck dedicated to mondo.. with speakers connected just incase there was a mondo tweet at 3am. I put in the effort and reap the rewards.

I think the days of releasing a poster in the middle of the night are over at Mondo, unless it is something they know will last a while.:lol

Yep I'm pissed... busy at work and missed the Hellboy posters. Not going to pay an arm and a leg on the secondary market. Pissed

I got one (Hellboy II) on eBay for $95 shipped. Seller is only making around $20 profit...that's not too bad, imo.

There are a lot of auctions up...some still below retail - watch those and you may score one at a good price.

Well, we agree to disagree. IMO they need to grow and figure their ____ out. If you want to act like a mom and pop shop then you need to prepare for when your customers aren't happy. Justin always seems to get irritated in his replies when people _____ at him. If he doesn't want to hear more of that then step your game up and run it better. Till then it will be what it will be. I'm sure he loves the hype and things folks have to do to get his product.

i also think the limited nature and desirability attracts popular artists to say yes for commission work

also quality of print work may dip if more mass produced

I am going to buy me some arms and legs if they only cost $35.00.:lol:lol:lol

Forgive me if I don't laugh. Not like I'm a bit of Hellboy fan or anything :pfft:

Then drop the extra $35.00-$40.00 and get one off ebay. That is hardly an arm and a leg. You probably won't even have to spend that much if you keep a close watch.

I know, I know... just really irritated I missed them this morning!!!

:gah:

Well if you were a true HB fan then you would spend the extra $20-$30 and get it on eBay.

True HB fan... now that made me laugh :lol

I know it sucks missing out. Just keep a close eye on those ebay auctions going off in the next few days. You should easily be able to get one for a reasonable price.

I'm a big fan of the Resident Evil franchise, so I made a impulse purchase of the Gallery 1988 RE poster from the Multiplayer art show. I wish I could go back and reverse the decision.

I'm just pissed that they canceled my Stout order(s).

And they won't even respond to my emails. I'm sure it looks to them like I'm a flipper, but I got so dang paranoid that my set would be canceled that I put the singles in my cart too. I figured I'd get one or the other, not both. I figured the sets would sell out by the time I checked out. But now, even when I email them and try to explain the situation, they don't even respond.

And it's like "okay fine, if you limit someone to one per person, fine, limit me to one" but instead they just canceled both of my orders. It's just lame.

I've gotten quick responses from them in the past, but now it's just like they've assumed I'm up to no good and now just ignore me. That's what bothers me, is that they're inferring something about me that's not true.

You have a picture of this? Maybe I would buy it off you.

I don't think you want it.
