I will be selling my Horkey Dracula print pretty soon if that is the one you are referring to. The only reason I'm selling it is to get an AP version that has a sketch of a bat on it by the artist. Let me know if that is the one you're after and maybe we can work something out.

if ANYONE grabbed one of Taylor's Chrysler building prints... think it was for the Avett brothers, and is willing to part with it... PLEASE let me know!!

thanks!

I have to find a picture of the Horkey Dracula. It doesn't sound familiar, but then, there's an explosion of movie prints.

But a matte can help in preservation of prints, and especially original artwork. The matte will keep the print pulled back from the glass, so you will not have any fear of transfer of ink from the paper print to the glass, especially in higher humidity areas. If you don't use a matte, there are spacers which can be used in the better frames which stay between the glass and the print at the far edges behind the framed edge.

I'm guilty myself though. I don't take the precautions with my small collection of lithos. Original art, sure. None of that touches glass, all gets the custom treatment, and extra UV protection glass too. But the poor lithos just get thrown into a pre-made Michael's frame with 'el cheapo glass...

Just some thoughts. :D

From what I've read if you are archival framing larger prints like 24x36 then matting and spacers aren't going to prevent the print from touching the glass. Spacers can actually cause rippling in the print if you are using archival methods.

Dracula Laurent Durieux is the one I’m going for. It too has a large amount of red in it.

That is a pretty nice one. Much cheaper too! The Horkey was the first Dracula one they released. It has red in the lettering, but not that much. Still people use red in their mattes to pull the color out.

I didn't ask for advice on framing these, I'll post them when they are done. Hopefully, the choices I made will be cool.

The Aliens prints are Glow In The Dark (GITD), they are UK variants/exclusives. Both of them are numbered 48 of 50 and signed by the artist Danny Miller.

Materials for custom frames have been ordered. I think they’ll look pretty good in the “Movie Room”.

I'd love to have a Horkey Dracula, but it's out of my price range, I'm sure.

I have that Dracula on my list too. Does anyone here know the character in the poster? I have to see the movie again. I don't remember it at all.

I don't believe that she's supposed to be a specific character, just an image that reflects the tone of the film/novel.

Coming soon to my place:

I preferred the GITD version.

HALLOWEEN (red) by Ken Taylor, AP edition of 41, hand numbered. I'll post the number later. I couldn't justify paying 3 times as much for the orange variant version. I'll have to think of something good for matte/framing.

How'd you score the Halloween?

I'd go Myers for one of those! :panic:

If you missed out like I did when these came out, there is only one way to get one... if you want to play, you've got to pay.

There's two on ebay now, orange variant, and a regular red. I paid less than those are going for. It's going to "sting" though.

Pass, but thanks. And congrats. One of my top five films of all time right there, and a reason for a great poster in remembrance of Debra Hill.

:lecture

I think I'd pass out if I had two great Taylor's on my wall, each from one of my top five films. I've got Alien, so I've got to be happy with that.

I'm going to have to check out your collection thread. :)

It's due for a major overhaul. My collection changes constantly. I'm always buying and selling. But the Alien print is permanent. Bought it direct from G1988 and they even mailed it to me. Only 81! Gone are those days I suppose...
