We are. I didn't want you to see that because it's already out and likely long sold out, so now it's resort to buying from a flipper, or going without.

I knew for sure you would want one if you saw it. :(

Still, That's no reason for someone, anyone, out here on these boards not to tell me. I have always done my best to try to help EVERYONE OUT HERE and that's the thanks I get? :ohbfrank:

I think you're misreading me here. I think I was giving Swabie a hard time for not warning you about the poster drop prior to it happening. Finding out about it after the fact was going to sting, I think. I'm definitely not trying to be malicious.

I did not say that you were. I am just saying, Someone out here could have told me about it back when it 1st came out. With how many people are out here, Someone had to have known.

It was sold at the Texas Frightmare convention and there were three different versions of it. Regular with an edition of 175, the glow variant with an edition of 105, and the green glow variant with an edition of 55. No copies have gone on sale on the website yet, so you wouldn't have been able to get it unless you were at the Texas Frightmare convention last week. There's a possibility that there might be some left over, but it probably won't be a lot if there are.

Boba Ben, Thanks for the info. :)

I was sleep deprived at the gallery opening (with Buffygirl) and sent pictures of what was available to my wife.. including metropolis.. she liked the silver one better.. (regular) . Really regret not grabbing the variant. I got variants for American Werewolf and Beetlejuice... but neither set the after market on fire.

The whole price aftermarket value on these things have gotten silly.. someone lists a poster for a crazy price .. someone actually pays that .. and then suddenly that is what its worth. I was going through some papers last night and found my receipt/print out copy from Mondo for the Moss Star Wars set.. $164.00 for all 3. Crazy

I joined the club too. Golden deco girl acquired. Haven't seen the movie yet either. But I couldn't wait on this and let the prices get crazy. Flippers are the only way to go as there were no APs and I don't live in Texas...

I'd like to get the John Carpenter's The Thing print that was at Texas Frightmare, but I'm sure it'll be nearly impossible to get and I'll most likely miss out if they end up putting some on the site. Mondo's site has been impossible for me to get through on the last few sales.

Cool, man. I don't know if I'll keep mine forever, but it's definitely a looker. Hope you got a decent deal.

I love the print. But I love a lot of deco stuff. I'm definitely never selling it. I know where I'm going to put it.

I made a list a while back of deco movies here. I was hoping Mondo would do Rocketeer but since Justin said in a recent interview that no Disney stuff was upcoming I guess not. But he also said things change and happen quick so you never know. I didn't pay the crazy amounts some are asking right now. But I didn't pay cost either. Probably around the average. I thought the prices would drop on these like Jurassic Park. But the variant prices are pretty stable. I just couldn't wait as this is my rarest Mondo print. Even more so since there are no APs. I don't see this hitting the low hundreds or going below ever.

Wow on that Olly Moss set. That goes for crazy prices now. I'm not really fond of that set or the Tyler Stout ones. I'm fairly certain I remember posts back in the day advertising them and just thinking who would want those. Especially the Tyler Stout ones and those bounty hunter prints which also go for a lot. Sometimes I think those high price auctions are setups to lure more people into paying the high price. It does work many times with early bidders after releases. And if you act too late with flippers who start auctions high.

On Metropolis, I was just thinking originally that I would get the regular. Especially since the movie is black and white. But when images started coming out and people mentioned that it was gold metallic then my choice changed. I thought the variant was brown at first. The gold plays to the more opulent deco feel I think.

The six month average price on expresso beans is $4,153.57. I don't even see any recently completed auctions on ebay for the Moss set.

There are some prints worth paying for. I may pay the high tag for the Halloween variant after settling in to my new house. It's pretty much the only other print I really care for. And I won't blink when buying.

Just sold my creature variant today. Glad to be moving some prints I will never hang.

Glad that you were able the sell the prints that you wanted to Buffy. :D

I would like to see pics of all of your prints all framed and hung up when you can. :D I hope that things are going well for you and Jenn. :)

Due to all of my probs. all of my stuff will be sitting for a while.

That's why I wait if I want something after a release. Buying on eBay the first couple weeks is a sucker bet

Actually with the Metropolis variant the lower prices were after the gallery show. It was the opposite of what usually happens. But I've never followed Mondo eBay auctions really closely. Afterwards most were in the $200 range. I just didn't want a Jaws situation. I think that was affordable afterwards and then it just shot up to crazy prices. A lot of the popular Mondo prints seem to start high then drop a bit and settle in a price range. Or start high and go higher. It seems to be rare for the prices to drop completely. Those individual Avengers prints are a good example of massive price drops.
