Edmiston posted this on his instagram. It looks like he'll have a Nicholson Joker image at his show.

For Mondo? Oh sweet Jeebz. If they start tackling the classics...Whoa.

Does Edmiston sell his prints anywhere besides etsy? He's had the same older selection of prints on there for quite a while. Nothing new.

He's at at most major cons I believe. I bs'd with him a bit at NYCC last year.

We have some Hitchcock posters incoming. This may help populate my Hitchcock wall in my House.

Personally, I kind of like the Tomer one, even though I also kind of like the 2nd Vertigo poster.

I'm really confused at the physics of the woman's body on that Psycho poster.

Haha ya, it looks like (if we are facing the print) she is looking to the right and her right arm is kind of bent behind her and he is picking her up from underneath her back. Since his left hand is back by her thigh, he is picking her torso up only with his right hand so she is angled. I feel like he drew her back too "deep" if that makes sense.

I picked up a couple of prints from him at NYCC too. Looks like he's got some cool stuff coming out so hopefully he'll have prints available whether they be online or at the con.

I really like the idea of that Psycho poster but the body is all wrong. First off, the legs are way too long, specifically the thighs. Just compare them to his. They're like twice the size. Also, that's supposed to be her left arm. He's grabbing her at the waist with her back facing us and her face looking to the right. The thumb is definitely on the wrong side. It's too bad cause it's a really cool idea for a poster but bad anatomy ruins it.\

Someone also pointed out that John "Gavin's" name is misspelled. Christ, how did this get past Mondo? Were they sleeping?

LOL I actually tried for the Psycho today which should have been easy as hell but I forgot my password. If anyone scored it and doesn't want it let me know. I am sure they will be cheap on eBay regardless.

They did fix the John Gavin mistake on the Psycho poster.

I was able to score a Vertigo stairwell poster, which I thought was the best of the three. Decided to skip the Psycho poster since I already had the Daniel Danger version which is a bit more striking.

This will go on my Hitchcock wall... I was able to get a 40x62 Hitchcock festival poster from my local theater and I wanted to flank it with two Hitchcock film posters. I'm excited.

The Danger one is cool. I have that one as well.

So I was curious, for those of you who get your print custom-framed, where is your best "go to" place? I got a few prints I'm looking to custom-frame but looking out at the cheapest option.

Local mom & pop place? Michael's? Craigslist for small time business?

I'm not looking to pay $200+ all the time to get these things framed.

The last one I had to get custom framed was $160....and that was on sale

Just out of curiosity, is custom framing necessary? I've got my Superman and Batman prints in some basic 24"x36" frames, for now, and, while I'd like to get them custom framed, paying almost as much as the print, if not more, for the frame is a hard pill to swallow.

That's what I plan to do with my upcoming Man of Steel poster (my first one)...that's the nice thing about a standard sized poster...they fit those generic off the shelf frames. It might be frowned upon by some, but it'll still protect the print, and those frames can still look pretty sharp. Around here, it'd cost at least a few hundred bucks to get something that size custom framed.

Depends on your preference. For me it is. Usually custom framing and matting brings out the print a lot more.

I was an avid fan of matting and custom framing. Still am.

But I have become a realist as well. Would I rather wait months sometimes years on end to get a piece framed and seen on my wall or compromise slightly and get to enjoy it sooner than later.

As a result I have been using Hobby Lobby. They have exact size for most mondo releases.

I add acid free backing board, custom hangers and paperbacking sealed to the back. Most times... less than $50 and looks great minus the matte.

I am happy with the results.
