Okay... Quick unboxing and very rough first impressions.
Big package. The base it comes with is definitely the bulk of the boxed material.
And speaking of that base...
VERY impressed with it. It's big. It's detailed. The Cheshire Cat and the Ruin enemy are exquisitely sculpted and painted. Even the Cheshire Cat's earring is a separate metal piece. Very nice.
Now for Alice herself.
It looked like there was supposed to be a second hand in the upper left corner. Someone else will have to confirm, as I only have five hands total.
But here she is up on display.
So... some pros and cons.
Let's get the negative stuff out of the way. For my figure, the magnet that attaches her hair to her head wasn't secured to her head and the magnet pulled off of her head. I'll need to glue it on more securely.
Second issue is her ankles are incredibly weak on mine. She just can't stand very well at all and immediately starts to fall forward or backwards. I'll absolutely need a stand for her. I tried to take a picture of her on her display base, but she kept falling off, but I can confirm she does fit in a Detolf just fine on the base. I have her propped up against it for now to keep her upright.
Be a bit careful with her hair too. Mine had strands shedding from a gentle handling. Not all of it is rooted as strongly as you'd perhaps like.
Lastly, yeah, that Phicen body is a bit... nipply... and it's very evident under my lighting. I'm going to have to get some fabric or something to give her a least one more layer or a bra so she doesn't look like she's freezing or about to poke your eye out.
Now for the positives. The sculpt is great. The weapons (both Vorpal Blade and Hobby Horse) are gorgeous. The material selection is fantastic. The hair is both wild but easy to work with. Had no problems with the moving eyeballs. The dress is a very vibrant blue that stands in stark contrast to the blacks, grays, and whites, and the there's a great attention to detail here. The weathering is nice (if a bit subdued). She's not 100% the in-game, promotional, concept art, or rendered Alice, but definitely feels like a happy medium of everything I've seen (and I have the artbook).
She's got a fantastic shelf presence, despite being one of my smaller figures (she is a young girl, after all). I need to do some work on her (definitely glue the magnets back) and see about reinforcing her ankles or giving her a proper stand, but as an Alice fan... yeah. No regrets.
