Let me buy Wor-Gar a virtual drink. In fact, let's make that a virtual round for everyone who ever posted or lurked on this thread so that we may hold them high and drink a virtual toast to Wor-Gar, his thread, and all things Aliens!!

Cheers!

Oh man, what a thing of beauty!
W-G's post was the last post, the 2000th on the 100th page for me!
Awesome.

Another thing of poetic beauty -- consider WG's first thread post about the possibilities of a Ripley and then consider this....

We hit this thread milestone on the DAY/week Ripley is actually shipping to us.... un-f'n-believable!

Yeah, it's great isn't it? Too cool....

I have an extra Hudson coming too, can't wait to use it and make a custom USCM DarkArtist.....:rock

Going to be a blast!

That is something. Really speaks the the popularity of both the line and the figure. Not too many figures could generate the interest to produce and sustain a thread from rumor to delivery like this one. Oh, and way to be topical, pjam, with your 2007 post. :D

Why thank you gdb, I did not notice that.
Hmm, this is getting outright mystical.:lol

A little snack for you kids until Ripley, Hudson and Drake arrive, the actual models from the film used for the air lock sequence, forgot the scale used, maybe 1/8th

WOW Paul, Now I can't WAIT for HT to announce a 1/6 Queen to go with the Power-Loader...Man, imagine THAT Diorama...Just might top the SS Jabba and Throne WITH add-on stairs, back-drop, Bubo AND Gammies!...But MAN, a 1/6 Queen would be FREAKIN' huge...and EXPENSIVE...But worth EVERY penny! You just gotta figure HT is working on it... :D

You know it Indy! :D Actually I believe the HT Queen will resemble that second pic quite a bit, molded in crouched position like that, her knee joints to make her taller as she will be designed to fight Ripley in the PL, anyway my take on it...

Really?
I always thought the four arms were an interesting touch.
I liked how Cameron and Winston could extrapolate on Giger's design to come up with something that looked very different, but was believable as being the same species, and not just a bigger creature.

Anyway, if and when HT release the queen, how do you think they'll go about it, design-wise?
I wonder if they'll stay true to the original or if they will also make an "artistic interpretation".
Mcfarlane's bulkier frame comes to mind.

I just wish they'd invest the time and energy to making her look like she did in ALiens. It's not like there isn't enough references out there, including the actual Queen parts, still in existence....
Here's to hoping. :duff
