ALIEN and ALIENS Thread...

I don't see any changes whatsoever in the sculpt, but the paint apps look much better!
What I'm really not liking very much is the crotch (yeah, I know, sounds weird)... it looks nothing like what it's supposed to look like.
Still, happy I'm getting one!

Agreed Indy! Not sure about any extra special exclusive here, just looks like a 2 pack, only difference is it seems Ellen has a little deco dirt on her lower pants and seemed to spill some coffee on her shirt. In any event these pieces look unbelievably great. Ellen even looks kind of hot. I can't believe I'll have her in my greedy little hands in about a week. Dreams do come true. As for the Warrior, don't think I'll spend much time checking out his crotch, not with that set of teeth staring at me... He may need a light drybrushing over his body but the paint apps look superb abake, glad you're digging him better now. Cheers all...

I've just pre-ordered the blister exclusive Ripley+Power loader. Can't wait for this! I've been dreaming of this since I was a kid! Now bring the Queen HT!

That is one example I find very accurate, I wish HT had gone with that look.

All of the Aliens in Aliens were bluish. The only time I ever saw a rustic brown Alien was in Alien 3 and (regretfully) Alien Resurrection.

Personally, I love this version of the Alien... inaccuracies and all. Its gonna look wicked climbing on the power loader, trying to get to Ripley.

Actually when the Warriors attacked and Hicks looked up the ceiling panel, those crawler Warriors were definitely brown looking...

It's all in the lighting. Hicks was shining a yellow flashlight directly on them. In all of the other scenes they are being lit with HMI fill lights that spill a bluish tint over black giving them a bluish appearance.

And when the Aliens fall through the ceiling into Med-Lab which is lit with red gels they appear to be almost totally black.

True... the lighting changes a lot. Hell, in a ton of shots, Hicks hair color seems to be nearly black and in others it's dirty blonde. Same with the Aliens. So much is dependent on the lighting.

When in doubt, go to the source.... look at actual costume shots.
