You'd think they'd sell more AFTER they announce the Queen. Its strange that they have this combo on their site but with no price and no pre-order info available. The 2nd Quarter might be a mistake -- or they mean to say it will be available for pre-order in the 2nd Q, to coincide with the Queen. That would make more sense.

Still, I'd like to get this combo rather than just the empty PL. I just wonder how much more they will ask with Ripley included? $299?

Well, the Rips are pretty much sold through, so this helps sell more PL's AND gets Collectors juiced when her majesty arrives on the scene. And everyone already knows the Queen is coming, even SSC pretty much let the cat out of the bag in last week's NL, so people know. Don't know if it's a 2 qtr P.O. or release date, stay tuned I guess. One other thing, these 2 pks are marked as blisters so they won't be available thru dealers here, just Asia and TS in Canada so you'll have to go thru TS I imagine.

And yet again I will be going through Toy2 to get my Hot Toys and will be forced to cancel my Flexpay PL and pay cancellation fees. See, this is why they should have offered the combo. Now I'm stuck with the Flexpay one from SS. This pisses me off. Damn the reward points. I don't care anymore. I just want the cool Hot Toys and SS doesn't carry the ones I want the most: Combo PL, Drago, Creed, Rocky, Clubber... et al.

We can always just cast an extra Ripley head from our existing ones, slap a T shirt on her... get some extra parts from Ebay... shoes mainly... And you got the very same thing.

That's my plan anyway. :rock

A week ago, this wasn't an issue:

Collectors should note that there is a cancellation fee applicable to any FLEXPAY order. This small fee offsets increased administrative costs incurred to bring this unique payment option to that customer. Sideshow will charge FLEXPAY customers a cancellation fee of $20.00 for cancellations occurring before the first payment date, $40.00 for cancellations occurring after the first payment and before the second payment date and $60.00 for cancellations occurring after the second payment and before the third payment date. The cancellation fee will be charged directly to the customer's credit card. By choosing FLEXPAY in placing your order, you will be agreeing to pay any applicable cancellation fee.

NOW they announce the Combo PL. :banghead

I'm thinking the same thing.

Once Ripley's out, ebay will have those pants and boots. She doesn't have the gloves in the PL scene that come on the figure anyway.

I figure we can get a good Ripley headsculpt from Lonnie at Frontline. That way, the PL figure will have a different look than your basic HT Ripley.

Good plan!

Has anyone here ordered from Hot Movie Props.com?
They have Hicks available for $84 and I feel it's too good to be true. They have a well organized site just very unsure.
https://www.hotmovieprops.com/

hicks is not available, it says "add to waitlist", which I doubt they'll get any more.

I've pre-ordered the PL+Ripley combo on HLJ for 236$ ;)

Wow!
That's an awesome price.

I'm not interested in the PL+Ripley combo though, I do want her with all her gear and have no problem stripping her (hehe) if I want to display Ripley in the PL or using the PL as a backdrop, or even having a marine in there.

But that is a great price!

It actually says "add to wishlist" at the opposite side it says "add to cart". I went ahead and added it to the cart and it placed it in the cart.
The website mentions "Estimated Arrival September 2006" I wonder if they haven't updated their website.
I sent them an email about Vasquez which is the one I really want, wait and see.

If anyone here knows where I can get a Vasquez, let me know.

Yeah I know, it's always the same story when I put up a link.:monkey2
I dare say it will still be a valid link for some time, if anyone ever gets really desperate.

I had a nice surprise today, my Brown Alien and Asian Predator showed up two days early!
The Alien was not what I had expected. I didn't know it had so much articulation. Even the toes have bendy wires inside of them. But I'm afraid of the material breaking down over time. I think it would've been better to have had much less soft rubber in the torso. It would've been better to just have the torso separated as two separate pieces with a ball joint in between and the head as a single piece with the neck cast out of hard plastic and ball joint at the base. It would've taken some articulation and aesthetics away, but I'm more then willing to except the trade off for a longer lasting Alien.
But the figure is very impressive.
The face hugger is awesome! All the fingers and tail are articulated with stiff bendy wires, even the round structures that breath in and out when attached to someone have bendy wires. You can completely secure one of these to another figure's face, have it posed running on the ground, or have it in the jumping through the air pose. I really want a few more of these, the McFarlane ones just can't compare.
