It's staggering the amount of strategic planning we put into posing our figures. We are like military tacticians... for toys.

1) Bomber Jacket Rip for the Marines and quieter moments with Dwayne learning how to use a pulse rifle
2) Egg Chamber "ICONIC" Rip
3) "Get away from her you bee-otch" PL Rip

I only have 2 Ripleys, one reg and one PL, so I have to choose 2 of the three looks... and it looks like the most iconic style is not possible for me, unless I want to dump the A-2 jacket I just bought and the blue coat that comes with Ripley.

Wor-Gar said:That's bad news. Guess I'll have to be careful with this guy. But if I get "splits" anywhere, I'll just add "blood" and make it look like an action wound.
In which case, the acid burn might tie it all in nicely.

Is that the jacket the boxed Ripley comes with? I read it here before that she comes with a jacket, so is that the one?
Mudshark said:From what everyone was talking about earlier, I think this is an A-2 jacket from another line (DML?). I'm assuming the jacket she comes with is the matching top to her flight suit...the one she takes off before gearing up to go rescue Newt...but I could be wrong! I'm still waiting for Ripps to arrive, so maybe someone else can confirm this.
Mudshark said:Man. I'm having a helluva time tryin' to keep up with all you guys! Part of the problem is when everyone's discussing everything, I'm sound asleep! So I'm always playing catch up and miss out on all the great discussions! Oh well...
Probably too late now, but a hair dryer is an easy way to get the boots off the Marines (and most other figs), and you don't have to get their feet wet! It also makes it easier to tie their boots more snug around their ankles before you put on the leg armor, for a better fit. (Just be careful when you tighten the laces so you don't rip them out accidentally!)
I went a little nuts last year when the Marines first came out and bought two of each... so now I've got plenty of grenades, etc. to use for customizing, but it would be pretty easy to make a simple silicon mold and cast as many as you need out of putty or resin, too. Either way, having extra parts is always a good thing. Now, I'm sure I've got an A-2 jacket somewhere that I can "liberate" from one of my pilot figures... Thanks for all the great ideas, guys!

Was anyone selling casts or are there any 1:6 places selling Hot Toy figs as parts?
Thanks!
