awesome pics man! hey, is that the hicks head that comes with the figure, or did you buy that separately?

I actually bought that head on Ebay (HT Stoner) and repainted it. I now have an extra couple of Hudson heads now that I won't need.... and they are identical, the very same sculpt I painted for Hicks.

Well it looks like I'm getting my A-2 jacket from Echo Base after all! called to find out that I was one of the few who got the last of them. My Ripley will be complete.
I got her yesterday; she's all together and looks great. A few issues I have with her is her head is a little on the large side, short stature, strap for the pulse rifle being too short, gloved hands, and the price. I've gotten Sideshow and Dragon figures that came with so much more and were $40 cheaper. They should've at least included the A-2 Jacket, watch, and extra grenade sling with grenades for this price.

My Ripley and Hudson arrived the other day. Quick question about Ripley..How exactly am I supposed to get her boots on over her pant legs? Hudson's were hard enough, especially when those pull straps pulled right off the pants very easily.

What I did is use the pointed bended end of the metal harp from the stand to push the cloth into her boots. Start at the front where the most material is and work you way on both sides to the back. You also have to make sure that her feet don't come undone from her ankles so push the boots in periodically. It may also help to soften the boots up by warming the boots considerably with a blow dryer before you try tucking the pant legs in.

I was about to ask about the boots too - there is NO space between her boots and her leg to tuck in the pants. I thought it strange too that the blue jacket gets tucked into her pants as well, but that seems to be the only way it can work since the pants are baggy and the jacket is not.

I originally had the jacket on the outside, then noticed that it's supposed to go inside. The jacket hem was warring with the pants hem for the same place on her lower back, when tucked in they work fine.
Yeah there is no space for the pants tuck, but I managed.

The "iconic" into-the-hive pose would be my first choice... but given the gloved hands and the jointed arms of the figure, I think she'll look better on display with the A-2 jacket. The combo flame-thrower-pulse riflle aren't screen specific but... I'll live with it.

Maybe one day they'll make a "rubber body" for females like they do for Rocky, then I'll swap out Ripley and Vasquez' bodies.

Monday, Monday, so good to us. DSC has our Marines rolling. Can't wait!

Btw, looks like Rip wore the jacket outside in this pic.

I've painted both and I have to go with the Stoner sculpt. It's just much better IMO. But nothing beats the H2 version of Apone.

Not sure when Ripley or Hudson will be completed, but I am anxiously awaiting it. Hudson just looks weird with the same face as Hicks... doesn't look like Bill Paxton no matter how you swing it.

I don't own the H2 Hicks but I do own a Stoner head, painted up right the Stoner head looks the best.

I've emailed Lonnie about the possible new Aliens marines sculpts, but I have not had a response yet. That might mean things have been delayed.

Last I heard, he was working on Ripley and Hudson. He also mentioned a Drake and Vasquez a long time ago, but I have a feeling the demand was not there at the time. Perhaps now...

The more people that email with interest, the more likely he'll feel there's a market there.

I desperately want a new Hudson head...and I'd love to see what he does with Ripley. Although, after seeing what Les did with the HT Ripley sculpt, clearly Miss Weaver is behind the paint.

Its removable but not complete -- no full tail. Its meant to be a mini-statue. Still, makes a nice background piece. Check eBay.

Everyone here has been busy finding clothing for their marines... you really need some "bugs" to fight.
