Poor ol' Rilpey all alone, I really need to pick up some marines.

Cool pics! But Ripley seems way too kind, almost as if she were glad to be chased by aliens.

Great pics Chase! Love that harness, love to see it over her T shirt in the classic Egg Chamber pose! And you know she wore it in the PL too! This harness will actually be a very sought after item once the PL is released... :D

Man you need some Marines pronto! They're as good as those Predators you have there. ;)
Great pictures by the way.

Regarding the jacket, Weaver starts off with a one-piece jumpsuit that magically splits in two for the queen battle. The costume's front zipper apparently continues way below the velcro flap. For my figure I found it easier to leave the jacket above the pants.

I KNEW IT! I knew it was a jumpsuit!! Should have said so, the moment I realized it!
Anyway, great repaint!!

Yes, please get Ripley out of there! It's hard enough to endure the Alien together with the predators (i don't like AvP to much, can't you tell?), but seeing Ripley in one picture with predators... I don't have words for it! Ow! Call in the marines!!!

Before Hot Toys got this license, EVA Models was the only place to get USCM gear. They still offer a whole line of resin-cast gear from this movie. I mention this because they offer a Hudson head and a flamethrower w/knife kit. The correct knife! They also have the uniforms, patches, guns, and a facehugger kit. I didn't know if you knew.

You guys do realize of course that Hot Toys calls these "Action Figure Model Kits" right? There is a reason for this (and not just to get around license and import fees). It means they provide you with the body but it's up to you to put it together and paint it. They were designed to be customized. Before I couldn't even fathom of "ruining" the original condition of one of these expensive "model kits" by painting them but I have realized that I am never going to sell (most of) them so all that matters is how it looks to me and if I'm happy with it. Like building and painting any model, it's only done when you are happy with it. You can continue to customize and refine it until it is satisfactory to your personal tastes.

I think that may just be the smartest thing you have ever said, Dave. :D

Thanks Josh. Glad it meets with your approval. :duff

I'm just tired of hearing everyone complain about the original paint on the Ripley sculpt. Sigourney is there, just bring her out with some paint.

True that!!!

I also think by using that "model kit" term for their action figures it has helped them get around some licensing issues for certain characters (Batman Begins & Superman Returns perhaps?).

Wow! Thanks guys.... I highly recommend a dark wash for the armor and some silver scratches here and there... added with a silver paint pen. It works, really makes the armor look beat up and worn.

Looks great Dark! did you do anything to the clothing as well, or mainly the armor? do you have a before shot of the Hicks's head?

Received the brown AvP Alien today. I like it better than the black version. And the face hugger is cool too. If only I would have known that SSC was going to offer this brown version when the black one went up for order, I probably would have never ordered the black version. The fact that there's a ALIENS Alien coming up makes that even more obvious to me, that I can do without the black AvP version...
