Sorry, this quote just calls for it:
"Hudson sir, He's Hicks!"

Just need my heads painted and I'm ready. I'd like to weather the gear a bit too. A bit of brushed silver on the knee-guards, maybe a "dirty" wash on the armor and clothing...
Josh, any simple tips or recommendations on how I can get the clothing and armor to look "used".
Also, anybody have any pics of Drake yet?

The only problems you will face is the custom name and designs (lockpad) on the body armor, helmet, and shogun/holster.
Hicks doesnt even have a pistol in the movie.

I'm so friggin' proud of myself with this one, my first re-paint! I don't remember how it got so dark under the eyes (was that the factory paint app?) but I left it like that for the general impression of Weaver's face. I used both Liquitex and Delta Ceramcoat acrylics.
Regarding the jacket, Weaver starts off with a one-piece jumpsuit that magically splits in two for the queen battle. The costume's front zipper apparently continues way below the velcro flap. For my figure I found it easier to leave the jacket above the pants.
Happy happy joy joy!

I was actually surpised by how well the factory skin tones looked initially, so I left that alone. For the rest I just covered over the old paint (no stripping or priming). First thing I corrected were the lips. I used a recipe of medium fleshtone, deep violet (for color) and burnt umber (for depth). Later comparison shown it was a tad too purple so I went back in with a wash of fleshtone + red ochre.pjam said:Tell me, did you just repaint her hair, eyebrows and eyes or was it a wholesale repaint?
Nah, it's just the recommended A-2 flight jacket that's been mentioned of late. The only thing I don't like about it is the large amount of room that puffs out in back, which seems fine for a heavy jacket. But Weaver looked like she wore something substantially thinner (less hefty).Indiana Fett said:Is that the "Relic Hunter" Indiana Jones jacket on your Ripley?
