I was wondering if anyone else thinks adding a few Aliens and Predator smilies to the current list (to go along with the proposed new section) might not be a bad idea. Any chance of that happening?

I'd like some Aliens and Predator Smiles too. Not sure about a new discussion forum though.

I searched Legends Hobbies for that Russian MVD and couldn't find anything. They nust be out of stock. Do you have a link?

They've been out of stock of the Colonial Marines set for a couple of years now.
However, you can find the regular BBI figure. Echobase Toys has one available for $49. It's just a modern military figure, it does not come with any Colonial Marines armor. You'll have to either buy a Hot Toys Colonial Marine set and repaint it (something I've thought of doing) or buy a regular Rifleman Colonial Marines armor set from EVA, assemble and paint it up yourself to have a Russian Colonial Marine.

Where can I get the EVA Rifleman armor? Does the BBI Falcon figure have a good Hudson likeness? I might just get the HT Hudson and do a head swap but I'm curious to see the EVA marine armor.

The BBI Falcon does Not look at all like Hudson.
The head sculpt shown in that post by Abake is from some other figure. That version of the Colonial Marines was to my knowledge, never produced.
Here's the EVA website:

EVA does have a Hudson headsculpt available, but to me it looks nothing like Bill Paxton.

Thanks. That's good to know. I'd really like to find a headsculpt that looks similar to the one in that Chronostoys figure.

Wor-Gar, I think we should just PM Dave and ask him to consider making a new thread devoted to each license. There's no excuse why Buffy gets a thread over Aliens or Terminator or Predator. If he shoots it down then we can spam him with petitions and polls.

:lol

OK, but I'm not sure he'd do a section for each -- best bet is a section for those 3 in particular... but I'd be fine with just ALIENS/PREDATOR too... in the meantime here's the growing list...

PETITION for a new section devoted solely to ALIENS/PREDATOR/TERMINATOR

1. Wor-Gar
2. Dekadentdave
3. Pjam
4. Abake
5. Ironman1188
6. Reinhardt
7. DBoz
8. Batty
9. twistedfreak
10. figuremasterles
11. King Darkness
12. Mudshark

Anyone else think this would be helpful so we don't have so much information in simply one thread?

Any and all support is welcome.

If you're looking for the armor set for the Russian MVD I saw one at Brookhurst Hobbies in Garden Grove, CA a few months back. You can do mail order with them if you're not local and they have a website.

Thanks. I searched their site and couldn't find the MVD armor. I also looked through BBI figures to try and find that headsculpt but couldn't find it. If anyone recognizes the source please let us know. He'd make a great base for a Hudson repaint.

You'll probably need to call the store or email them. To be prefectly honest I don't think they even realize they still have the item as it's on a high display shelf in their 1/6th section and they may not even recognize it on sight.

Two Ripley retreads, huh? Might I suggest a third? A bald version for anyone wanting to do a ALIeNS 3 bash as well as then being able to "re-wig" her for a Resurrection version?

Interesting idea... but I'm not sure it's even necessary. Les has proven that with a good repaint (GOOD!) you can turn the simple female Art S Buck figure into a good bald Ripley.

But let's see how this face resculpt turns out. If I get lucky and it's good enough (god I hope so lol) then it may be worth me considering doing that.

as for a separate Aliens/Terminator etc thread..............

COUNT ME IN

There have been many times I've wanted to find something on the Aliens HT figures , or the Sideshow Terminator figures... but first you have to find the actual thread... and THEN you have to go through hundreds of pages to find the post you were after.

If it had it's own section (80's action flicks maybe) then finding the particular item under their own threadds would be much easier. (photo threads, custom threads, discussion threads etc)

Put me on the list as well. I agree, no more than Aliens/Predator in it.

Very true, but I don't think the Art S. Buck version will fit the hair I had planned. :monkey3
As for the USCM unis on ebay? Thanks, grawnday!! :D
The Poppo Toys Hudson that is on the USCM site is actually pretty decent if painted correctly.
And, I WANT MY OWN APE SECTION!!! [There! I've said and now I feel better]

Does anyone know what color Bishop's eyes are?

I always thought they were hazel and they look it in the DVD

DekDave, any help?

His eyes are hazel/green. I know...I've seen them in person! :D

But in ALIENS, at times, they looked very light. ALmost bluish. Remember when he turned around to the camera while looking at the facehugger in the lab? They seemed very light then. And with Cameron's blue tint to everything, hard to get the tone just right.
But, for Bishop, err to the lighter shade. He always had wide open and very bright colored eyes. Seemed a bit dazed looking.

I thought so. Thanks guys...

Les, that is indisputable evidence my friend! :D

Any word from Lonnie on the Hero Head for Hudson? Not on his site yet that I can see.
