So, can anyone suggest somewhere to get the Hicks for 100 or less? Also, where is usually the cheapest place to prepurchase these for when the Ripley gets released.

None of us has confirmed there is a 12" Ripley nor has HT, we are assuming, based on rumors, HT shop pictures, Asian board chatter and the HT Ripley snap kit that she is. I would hold off on Hicks if this is your criteria...

Well, I also believe after reading most of these threads that a Ripley will be made. They obviously have the rights to do her if she's part of the snap figures. Plus, the more I look at these, the more I want.. well, all of them.. but right now, I will just stick with my second favorite male character (sorry, nothing beats Paxson's Hudson ... I still remember that early Doom fan mod .. the first 3D version of Aliens and his "game over man, game over" every time I got my arse fragged hehe). But I would like to get him as close to the original 85 Sideshow charged.

P.S. One thing I do not understand. Hot Toys does not seem to limit their figures like SS.. i.e. no clearly defined production run. So, how can Sideshow be "sold out"? Why not just import more if the demand is there?

Thanks Galactiboy!! He was tough to do, especially after seeing the magic that Mikey worked on the sculpt. I watched the movie again and I could see his hair kinda walked a tightrope between blond and reddish brown, so I wanted to reflect that the best I could. His eyes were tricky because in some light they look hazel, but in the dark the brown shines more, so I went with Brown orbs with Green highlights. It was hard and I still think they are far from perfect.... but close enough.

I'm gonna be painting a Tim Bradstreet Punisher headsculpt this week, so expect pics soon. I seriously have to finish up Ironman's heads as soon as possible. I don't want it to take me a month to do them all...

Here's something new. The guys over at OSW are trying to figure out if this is a custom or a leaked prototype for the Hot Toys line. It was found on some Hong Kong thread...

The hands look like Vasquez, but those boots look pretty darn good for a custom. I hope its the real deal.

I don't think it looks like either one. It's a good thing these figures have such cool gear.

While I fully expect Lonnie to come through with custom replacement heads for these (Man, I LOVE Lonnie's Apone head I got painted by Custom Mikey!!!), at the very least, there is ANOTHER option for a Hudson head...doesn't look too bad either...(although their Hicks and Vasquez heads need a little more work)...DEFINITELY WAY better than the HT version...(BTW, I think Ripley's head might look alright with the proper paint aps..)
