While I fully expect Lonnie to come through with custom replacement heads for these (Man, I LOVE Lonnie's Apone head I got painted by Custom Mikey!!!), at the very least, there is ANOTHER option for a Hudson head...doesn't look too bad either...(although their Hicks and Vasquez heads need a little more work)...DEFINITELY WAY better than the HT version...(BTW, I think Ripley's head might look alright with the proper paint aps..)

Okay, so I got Vasquez and Hicks about two weeks back, but no Apone. A quick message to Sideshow and they said that the missing Marine would be on his way right away. I got home from work tonight, and a Sideshow box was waiting by the door, and an oversized one at that. I eagerly crack it open to discover.....

It looks like the amazing Apone custom head will still be sitting on my dresser, awaiting his body. I just hope I can reach someone at Sideshow tomorrow to start the process of returning Hicks and wait for Apone again...

Enough whining, I can't wait to see all the new stuff this week!

What? Where else did I make such a claim? No, no, just the one claim here, that's it. And I never said that it would be me that would reveal the "mind-blowing" information, so there.

I can confirm that I have no inside info on any figures appearing at SDCC. At this time.

As for my "gripping" post above, I'm awaiting to hear the news confirmed myself before posting... I hope to hear soon. I will post immediately.

Heck yes! I have Hicks attached and he looks great! I can't wait to get the Apone head attached too, but Sideshow accidentally sent me two Hicks figures now, and I will have to return them and wait for Apone to arrive. With all the new marines, I think you will find yourself plenty busy, and even Ripley looks like she could use a touch up!

What kind of paint did you use? When I was attaching Hicks on the neck post, a little scratch came off on his neck where it touched the armor. The Frontline heads are much harder to attach, and I had to use a little grease to get it on! Thanks again, they are really above and beyond, and I can't wait to get Apone on his body!

The preview picture for the new Ripley, Frost, and Drake 12" figures makes the figures look awful!

Correction! I read online that the figure I first thought was Frost may in fact be Hudson. WTF!!!!!

Seaward, in answer to your question about what paints I use, I generally stick with Model Master. It's a high-quality paint, and very good for this kind of work. I'm sorry for the nick in the paint. If anyone knows how to make it so that paint will never scratch, I and every customizer out there would love to know.

Glad they arrived in good condition and that you like how they turned out! Can't wait to see pics. I hope you're right about my getting lots of orders for repaints. Gotta pay for my Jabba!!

Much better! Drake looks good to me, Ripley may need a repaint but the sculpt is there and Hudson will prob need a FL headswap but other than that the outfits, armour and weapons are right there...
