Thanks for the info Dave... I think it'd be pretty awesome to have an Alien from each movie displayed together. And it kinda feels like Hot Toys may be going in that direction. But either way, even though I didn't like the movie that much this figure seems like a real winner.

For those yet to receive their Hot Toys Alien, I just wanted to warn you during assembly that the socket for the central fifth spine just under the rear of the head is pretty fragile. The plastic is thin and I managed to snap a part of it so I had to hot glue the spine into what was left of the socket. Be cautious!

The great thing about this figure is I think it'd be easy to do other versions using the base body underneath, just swapping the top of the head and "skin" covering the torso.

BTW, the toes are all bendy as well.

I got mine direct from Sideshow. Some people that got it months ago got theirs from HK or Japan.

I got mine for a very nice price from Darkshadow Collectibles. Shipped pretty much the same time as the Sideshow direct ones I think. Sometimes you get lucky with the third party stores, when I ordered Luke from bbts they got their shipment a month after sideshow direct started sending them out.

That would be my ideal plan; those are the 2 aliens I really want.

But my first choice is the original Giger alien -- smooth head and all. However, HT hasn't given any indication that they're going anywhere near the first Alien. So this one might be the closest...for now. I bought Scar for the same reason I might buy this one; closest I could get to the original.

At least an Aliens alien is certain. That's the big cash-cow: marines, Queen, power-loaders, vehicles, etc.
