Re: Alien Legendary Scale Bust

It looks really cool inside the dome. Like there is more detail in there than on the outside of the piece lol.

And actually, there is more detail than on the real suit which had much of the detail airbrushed on, SS sculpted it which is nice.

Today I considered going for a reg instead but I've already sent my refund pics this morning. I guess I could get on live chat and say I changed my mind but am just gonna stick with my decision to cease dealing with them. I probably don't have time to wait and see how other peoples replacements turn out.

I took the entire dome off, although not very neatly. Oddly, the dome seems like the thickest part of the entire thing.

Im actually considering calling sideshow in regards to the issues mine has. At first i wasnt letting it bother me. But after reading more of this thread, and seeing how everyone is being treated by ss in regards to this piece. I honestly believe everyone with issues should call up and demand a full refund or take a few bucks back from them. The only way to get them to notice is to hit them where it hurts. And damn collectorcol. The money they offered you doesnt even cover your fees ughhhh.

I think they end up passing the cost of this back to us. I think part of the price increases is due to this. Not saying I think it's a bad thing. I just think us collectors end up paying for it in the end.

I'm 100% confident this is true.

I look at it this way, if I went into a store and saw a defective product, that cost $400, would I pay for it and walk out the door? Nope. Would I buy it with a 10% discount? Nope. At $400, said product should be immaculate with no issues. If SS had a retail store, with defective product on display, they'd be closed within a month.

Can't believe I defended this company. I apologise for my ignorance.
There's no way I'm keeping this broken scuffed item so my two options are...

A. Get a full refund, leaving me to chase my import fees from the government, and receive zero compensation for missing out on an item I've been looking forward to for over a year.

B. Reorder a Reg to which they will apply a $65 discount. I'm assuming I will have to pay postage and import fees for a second time which would cost me much more than the $65 offered.

Lose lose situation through no fault of my own because a factory decides to produce and pack an item not suitable for display purpose.
