I'm really not feeling good about the fact that our pieces have to make the trip across the Atlantic Ocean what with all these broken tendons for some US buyers. :panic:

Well they have all travelled half way around the world before SSC even touch them, no idea which company ships them from China but I suspect Fed Ex probably get blamed for a lot of breakages that were probably already there before they even collected it.

With the Warrior and this however, the fact there are so many scratches and chips without obvious signs of wear in the poly box suggests that they are being roughed up before they are boxed up.

It's crazy that SS could have so many problems on a piece this anticipated. Someone over there should be feeling pretty silly right now.
The issue seems to be that they just don't care. They'll obviously slap a QC sticker on anything and hope they can get away with it to make a bit of extra cash. What I don't understand is that surely it would be more cost effective for them to actually really do some kind of QC and correct these issues beforehand to avoid needing to dish out so many replacements.

Mine's being delivered to my office this morning. Although I'm not working there today, had thought about driving there tonight to pick it up, but after seeing all these issues I'm not even sure I want to. Knowing my luck, mine's molested for sure.

That's a switch an Alien molested.

If they aren't doing good QC then they obviously aren't losing enough money to justify it. Hopefully they lose their ass on this one and wake up. Offering customers, who've waited a year, 10%, is insulting. Money>Customer is what that says, because if they wanted to show the customer that they're really sorry it's happening, they'd offer a deep discount for those who choose to keep damaged product. SS is so hit a miss, it's amazing. That in itself shows they have no standards, at their factories.

I get mine tomorrow, and if it doesn't looking like a brand new $400 product, with zero defects, I'll be sending it back. I will not accept a substandard product that I'm paying almost $500 for, with shipping, no matter how much I like the movie.

Mine was delivered to work today but I wasn't there. I hope this impresses because with this and the GG Kenner Redux, I think that will be it for high priced Alien stuff for me.

Got mine - a few smudges and dome has a gap like some of the earlier photos - but it's very cool - I can't see sending it back as they all seem to have flaws. To see any of the issues you need to look closely under bright lights.

Yeah, I agree with all of that. It's just that the long & extra trip across the Atlantic greatly increases the chances of something getting damaged for us. But I concur that many of these items flaws seem to be as a result of mishandling before any shipping takes place.

I'm not sure which colour I like best in broman's magnificent display case. They all add to the presence of this great piece & show it off wonderfully. :clap
