Mine is on the truck for delivery today! Should get it at work in a couple hours. I can't believe how apprehensive I am about finally getting it and opening the box. I've been looking forward to this piece for so long that I don't want to be disappointed.

Nice one, buddy. I hope it's a good one.

I must have lucked out with the UK shipping. It was in Indianapolis on Friday, Mitcham GB on Saturday with an expected delivery date of Wednesday but then it arrived on Monday!

I need to inspect it more but its in relatively good condition compared to some people so i think its a keeper. My biggest issue is that there is a slight gap in the dome on the side so I now have a lot of the polystyrene dust inside the dome. When I ran my finger along it you could see the stuff moving around due to the static build up, but that stopped around 10 mins after I had unpacked it. I may try and put a vacuum nozzle to the gap to see if I can pull the dust out, unless someone can give some tips on creating static again.

It's here! Right now it's like Schrödinger's cat: both in pristine condition and damaged until I open it.

Lol... Schrödinger's Alien.

Best of luck though, hope to see some nice pictures of a great looking LSB from you soon...

If I decide to try and get a full refund instead of a replacement, is there any way to claim my import fees back?

I just received mine and checked it out thoroughly. It is totally immaculate, no breaks, smudges, or scratches, and I couldn't be happier with it, other than the teeth. We forget the size of these things and how people zoom in on small parts like the teeth, so from a normal distance they don't look as bad. I refuse to post phone photos, but I will post high quality images tonight.

Just took the long drive up to cleveland to pick up my stuff from fed ex,opened up my chap and its PERFECT..no gaps,Brocken pieces, glue spots ,scrapes or anything.I was really thinking this was going back..

My EX 369 arrived in good condition but with a couple minor issues. One section on the tendons was broken off but luckily it was lying in the box. Should be a fairly easy fix to reglue it back on. Found a couple minor scuffs on the dome but far enough back as to be hardly noticeable. Also have what appears to be a glue smudge on back side of one of the shoulder blades. It was painted over and was not that noticeable. Will definitely keep it but will contact Sideshow for a partial credit. With all the issues this seems to be having I inspected this closer than any other statue that I've ever purchased.

Seems like we are getting a run of good ones. Mine came today, #253, and he's in fantastic condition. He's beautiful and huge. The skull through the dome makes this piece. Would be perfect if the teeth were chrome, but I'm completely pleased. I couldn't be happier. I have him displayed with my Predator LSB and Jaws maquette...all with name plates. I waited 3 years to complete that setup.

Re: Alien Legendary Scale Bust

I just received my Big Chap! I have a concern about the painting on the back shoulder part. It looks messy? Not sure if it's supposed to look like that. Anyone else's turn out that way? Besides that everything else turned out great.

New here, been following this thread since I purchased the Big Chap.Got mine today and after a cursory look seems pretty clean compared to some of the stories on here. Tendons are all intact paint is good no smudges on dome fits tight .The only thing I noticed in direct light is some type of particles inside up the dome, not many but they are there.

Anyway I was wondering if there is any relationship between the # of our statues have anything to do with declining quality? Mine is # 26 and like I said seems pretty clean compared to some I have heard about on here.

Mine is numbered within ten of the box a few posts above, around 500, and mine is perfect.

Edit - Mine is an EX

Congrats to all that have good ones. ES number should have no reflection on the quality as they aren't numbered in the order they are made presumably, it is likely that is the last thing to be done before they are boxed up and by then they will be spread out randomly. Just luck of the draw. Nice low number you got though, I always seem to get high numbers. The lowest I have by far is my Hcg P2 bio which is early 30s I think.

Add another good one to the list...EX #521 is in the house in perfect condition. I'm thrilled with this piece! It really is amazing.

I'm pretty sure I'll end up chroming the teeth. They don't look terrible as is, but chrome would throw it over the top :)
