Can't have one without the other :joy

Caution to the wind for me on this one, I'm not even that bothered about Ripley's lack of looking like Ripley, I'm buying it purely for displaying with the Queen.

Looks like they went for that dirty look on the flooring. Kind of bothers me but not enough to worry about. The Queen herself looks amazing. Can't wait. My first flexpay and I'm considering calling and making full payment to get her here sooner.

The inner tongue detail sucks, and the upper teeth are practically pointing forward.

On the plus side, it's almost as tall as the Mystique 1/4 scale statue, so it might not be too bad with 1/6 stuff. Won't be big enough to go with the HT Power Loader, but it might still look alright.

I'm starting to "not like" the base so much.
I completely understand the reasoning behind it, but a "Colony grated floor" with blue lighting underneath would have been more ascetically pleasing for me.
Just my personal preference because I feel like the base doesn't do her justice.

I agree. I really don't like the base.

Mine is here. Haven't opened her up yet.

But in the end, the decision on the base was more than likely made considering that the follow up piece was going to be the Power Loader. Still, I agree with you Facebox on the grating would have looked better overall for this as a standalone piece.

I've never really liked the base, but that's more because I don't like the shape and the fact that it doesn't actually connect to the loader base. I do think that having some contrast with the main sculpture is probably a good thing. A black or dark base would make the whole piece look very dark.

It's good to know I'm not alone.
Thanks guys. I'm actually considering making a custom base for it, but can't help but think that I would be devaluing the piece.

As it stands, grated flooring with some self contained blue lighting coming from underneath them is the way I'd like to go. I'm not sure how feasible this is, but if the Queen isn't connected to the base she comes with...I'm certainly gonna try.
The Power Loader is cool, but seeing as how I'm not getting one.......

Here's what I mean:
(of course, the backdrop wouldn't be included and the base would be refined with a nameplate etc.)

Now that would look great!
Tnx.
Congrats too! :banana

BTW, how did you get yours so quickly?
I live in the U.S. and won't be getting mine any time soon.

Lastly, Ss's Queen & Power Loader dio should have looked a little more like Chaney's work.

the base don't bother me, i just hope and pray mine.
arrives with no paint flaws and nothing chipped or broken.
i've waited along time for a Queen of this quailty.

It is packed very well and some bits seem to be more on the plastic side I think so I don't think you'll have any problems.

She is really nice. I took pics but the flash totally ruins it. It shows her as stripey when really she isn't at all.
