Hopefully this is a return to form, ala the original Colonial Marine levels in the AvP games from back in the PC days, and not anything like the last crappy AvP game that came out.

So much potential, let's just hope it lives up to it.

Being an Alien(s) fanboy, I have been waiting for this game, or a game like this, for like 10 years. I'm sure I will love it. Gearbox does co-op well and the atmosphere in the game looks true to Cameron's vision. Also excited that it will revisit Alien by sending the players to the derelict spaceship. Maybe we will learn a bit about the mysterious Space Jockey finally. What do you guys think?

It appears that someone at SEGA has dropped a bit of a bollock today, as the Collector's Edition of Aliens: Colonial Marines has been leaked on French gaming site Gamekyo, revealing a premium boxset with all manner of additional goodies, including the piece de resistance; a highly detailed resin display model of an iconic Aliens powerloader being attacked by a xenomorph.

The Collector's Edition, which has yet to be officially unveiled or confirmed by SEGA, includes a copy of the game with special artwork, a USCM dossier and the statue, all crammed into a limited edition display box with a foldout wrap around display. There's also some exclusive in-game content with the Collector's Edition too, with multiplayer weapons, such as the flamethrower, Smart gun and an upgraded Pulse Rifle.

There's also an additional game mode thrown in, called the USCM Academy Firing Range, rounding out the package. Check out the leaked image of the Aliens: Colonial Marines Collector's Edition below, then prepare to start firing in short controlled bursts when the game launches later in the year. Pricing for the CE has yet to be revealed.

Generic marines? Doubtful. I wish they'd get off their high horse and make an effort to get the likeness rights of the actors, full stop.

Each marine will be unique. In a lot of the early screenshots and videos they used the same marine model to display the game features and stated that they would replace them later on with unique models.

Been waiting for this game for a while! I really see it as a "make or break" for the ALIENS series. The recent AvP game was average at best and really lacked in a lot of mechanics when compared to other first person shooters. However, with Gearbox handling Colonial Marines it shouldn't be a problem. I know the project has been delayed constantly but I hope they really put out a great game.

In one of the previously posted videos, the nerd was really going on about how accurate the game was..seemed like he knew alot about "Aliens", but they use the disgusting Requiem bodies..sad.

If only it was movie-accurate... For a video game though, these are some seriously awesome goodies.

Wow! Me too! I'm a HUGE ALIENS fan! I'm meeting Michael Biehn in two weeks at the Wizard World comic Con in New Orleans. I'm bringing my custom Hicks HT figure with the great "spikey-haired" Les Walker Hicks head sculpt. I hope he likes it.
