Definitely glad I passed on the AVP, while very cool looking, too different from the Aliens I grew up with.

Damn, I almost had a heart attack!
But the pic shown is of an Alien Resurrection alien, not the Aliens variety.
Too bad.

Hmmm... I thought he looked odd. But the title is set up like Aliens no Aliens3? Maybe that picture is just a stand in? I really hope that this figure is from Aliens :monkey3 :monkey3 :monkey3

Yeah, I'm baffled as well, but the design is clearly of the Alien Resurrection/AvP variety (they have only minor differences, like the hands, legs and overall color scheme -A:R borown, AvP black) and not the Alien/Aliens variety (again differences in hands, feet and most notable the lack of clear dome).
I hope this is a proto, but if SST are marketing it as an exclusive, I doubt it would be the actual Aliens design, it would be pretty silly of HT not to make such a figure available to everyone.
As I type this it dawns on me that this could actually mean that HT is not going to make an Aliens alien/warrior... why else would they allow this exclusive?

I'm afraid the HT proto pic is what they are offering, the SSC description of an "Aliens" Warrior is confusing and misleading.

Maybe Dusty can clear this up...

Well, hopefully this gets cleared up soon. I have no interest if this is just a Resurrection Alien. It would make my heart cry if that were the case... :monkey2 :monkey2 :monkey2

I've been trying to ask in the chat for clarification, but the question just gets lost in the fray...

I'm betting this is NOT the "ALIENS" Warrior we were waiting for and what makes the most sense to release based on the Marines and Ripley.

As others have said, that is NOT the warrior from Aliens.

It looks to be the Resurrection or AvP Alien.

I guess we have to wait for the 1/4 ALIENS piece!

People should know better with hot toys,This will only be a variant of the already release alien from AVP,not a new sculpt..I'll buy it anyway.

If the variant has the A:R legs and other details from the A:R aliens I'll buy it, otherwise it's an esay pass.
I just don't understand how they think they can get away with marketing it as an Aliens alien...
