Aliens from Hot Toys!!!

Okay, so I am sure this wasn't done by SSC. They will be updating us soon, I am sure. Afterall, SSC is the best there is.

Different angled shot is all. It's the same maquette. The paint is identical on the shoulders and the ligaments are exactly the same. Wall in the background is def the same as well.

I have to say I'm real disappointed by this whole thing. I was very excited when I first posted this as it had the Aliens logo. I'm sure this will be a cool figure, but I was very excited to finally have a quality 1/6 classic Alien.

You are right -- I hadn't noticed the wall before. The mouth ("gums") looks more jutted out in the 1:1... but then there's that wall....

Well, I don't really care where the picture came from, I only care that it is NOT the "ALIENS" Warrior.

It's unfortunate SSC doesn't do just a smidgeon more due diligence when making a major final day spooktacular announcement, seems they were caught sleeping at the wheel and if it weren't for us, it still might read "ALIENS" Warrior.

I guess the only good news is that when HT does make an Aliens Warrior to go with the Marine sets many of us bought, it will be even better.

My guess/hope is HT will announce an ALIENS Warrior when Ripley and the new Marines ship out early next year.

WTF?!?!? Alright, I came in late on this discussion. So the preview announced at Spooktacular is NOT from Aliens? What the hell is up with that? This is just the same AVP warrior that I just cancelled?!?!?! What the heck is so exclusive about it then? I could see it if they made the "Grid" Alien from AVP but this?!?!? Man, this is the second time Sideshow has posted incorrect Aliens pics. How many months after Comic Con was it before they fixed the bogus images of the Hudson preorder that were incorrectly posted with the Frost images which hasn't even been announced yet? Sideshow, if you guys can't tell one character from another then give the job to people that can, and care. What a let down.

Remember that the "bogus images" actually came from HotToys, and those were simply prototypes. Maybe at that point HT hadn't made its mind up on which character it was going to produce... after all, they're all pretty much the same except for a few details on their armour, some of the weapons and the headsculpts, which are not exactly HT's forte...

Also, it was stated that apart from the new color scheme, the SST exclusive would also include an accesory.
I'm also disappointed this is not an alien warrior from Aliens or, even better, the alien from Alien, but I do have hope that those will come in time.
