It is the AVP:R warrior alien. What kind of repairs do I need to make?

I want to get a dog alien, is he as difficult?

Luis

AVP-R! Now I know where your coming from mate. The feet on mine were also defective, in regards to the leg joint I'm not sure but I just kept trying with mine and it went in. Eventually..... With Hot Toys persistence is key!

Dog Alien, is one of the hardest Aliens mate. It's also very unreliable and has had many faults.

Thank you for your help. Which Alien would you recommend?

Well, it depends what you want. If you want a good looker maybe AVP Grid Alien? He looks preety nifty and he is the leader of the pack in AVP. Visually stunning!

Easy build, there ar'nt really any easy ones. But from what I've heard Aliens "Alien Warrior".

Pred-Aliens also cool! It's up to you my friend!

I see. Thank you, this is my first Hot Toys Alien and it is leaving me disappointed.

for the Terminator films, did Jim Cameron or any other producers ever say if there were any humans who betrayed the Resistance and helped Skynet instead?

Definitely not in the films. I know T:TSCC did though, which I liked. And then of course it looked like it was saying there were T-1000 Terminators who decided to work against Skynet..which potentially I also could have liked if they'd not cancelled the show..

thanks a-dev, I still have to go pick up the box DVD set I hope someone is able to get the license one day and make a figure of Cameron!

I don't think its a question of 'able' so much as 'willing'. Maybe if the show had become as popular as '24' but it seems doubtful to me that we'll see figures. Its unfortunate, apart from 3 or 4 boring as hell episodes in season 2 I really liked that show.

In T2 at what point does Arnie sustain the knee damage? I assume it was the bit where he overturns the T-1000's tanker truck and jumps off.

And did he sustain all of his chest battle-damage in the SWAT shootout?

I thought it was when the SWAT truck turned over after he braked it and the helicopter smashed into it when the initial damage was done (furthered by jumping off the tanker), my friend and I were talking about this the other day. He seemed to have a limp when they were walking away from the SWAT van towards the little car, but my friend said he was just walking slow to accomodate Sarah's slowness from her injuries.

yah, looked like most of the chest damage was done in the SWAT shootout but was further exacerbated when he had the fight with T-1000 in the steel mill.

I'm just being anal about it, wondering about kitbashing possibilities on the NECA figures for majorly scene specific customs etc. Then again the amount of time between one phase of battle-damage and the next was so short by that point in the film I probably won't bother and just stick to what NECA gives us.

it would be nice to get a Hasta La Vista baby Neca, and it would look cool on the sticker of the clamshell saying that!

*Terminator Question*

As fans could we ever come to love or even like a T-900 series? What are your thoughts on this?

also, of all the 1/6 Endoskeletons released, could you tell me which one is the most durable?

The metal Aoshima ones are probably more durable than Hot Toys, but far less accurate and less articulated in the hands and feet. The one I have did blow a knee joint though. Literally. The spring inside that keeps the racheting mechanism tight came shooting out of the side cap so fast it must have travelled through time. I never found it. The whole assembly just fell right out and left me a one legged Aoshime Endo.

Also, the feet keep falling off. Did I get a defective Alien?
Luis

The sockets are usually pretty tight, but I never had too much trouble. The feet however had a desgin fault on the Aliens Warriors and the AVP-Rs where the female socket would split from the pressure making it impossible for the foot to grip the ankle ball tightly enough to stay.

If done well, perhaps as though that is the line the T-X is from. However, for whatever reason, Cameron went from 600 to 800 to 1000, so I feel that 700s and 900s don't really exist in his original mythology. It's kind of like auto manufacturers like Ford making different models of their trucks and calling them F-250, 450, 650, etc.

for Terminator score did they ever release on the the opening credits version that has that blade scratching sound, I have the Definite edition but that version is not on there and was wondering if this was released elsewhere?

It looks cool, but instead of going with what Kyle described them to be (basically 800s with rubber skin) they made Incredible Hulk endos wearing Michael Myers masks.

It'll be a great figure too, but it is such a wrong interpretation of the Kyle Reese account of infiltrators. For my insanely lengthy arguments on that front, please refer to previous pages of this thread, and the thread for the HT T-600 with rubber mask and clothes.

OK just watched T2 and 2 things I didn't like -

1) Arnie's delivery of the line "why do you cry?" He put a bit too much genuine sounding curiosity into it.

2) and the "Of course, I'm a Terminator" line in response to John exclaiming "Jesus you were gonna kill that guy". This line just doesn't agree with me for some reason. I think silence would have been a more appropriate Terminator response there.

Also at the end of the film since John was evidently expecting to live happily ever after with his own private Terminator why was he so eager to throw the spare arm into the molten steel when its parts could have been used to repair the T-800s arm?
