I don't remember a Ghostbusters show. WTF?! How did I miss that. I've lived here my whole life?

Best go quick, they got rid of the Back to the Future ride, who knows how long T2:3D has left before it's replaced with 'TS: The Chrisitan Bale yelling at you experience in 5D!'

I'm sure that's a joke, but still I don't see them taking this out any time soon as long as new movies are being made.

Do you know there's a TransFormers ride in the works for Universal? Hells yeah!

Thats so sad....I went on the Back to the Future ride as kid...All I remember is yelling at Biff in the small screen and being eaten by a dinosaur....

I liked the experience of seeing more of those characters, but I thought the effect of the big curved screen and open-topped eight passenger De'Lorean was horrible, especially after the realism of Star Tours at Disneyland. Even as a kid, I felt there was no excuse for how badly they approached it. The new Simpsons ride uses the same exact ride technology and screen, but given the subject matter, it's okay.

Oh sorry, I actually went to Universal Orlando. Maybe it was exclusive to that park at the time? It was pretty cool, you got to tour the firehouse then they put on this stage show. Afterwords I remember getting to meet the Egon of the show. Have that picture somewhere.

Yeah, I don't think they had that at Universal Hollywood. Sounds cool though. Maybe they'll do something like that again with the third movie coming out (not soon enough).

Got an AVP question. Are the HT AVP predators feet accurate to the movie. Would anyone be able to tell me? I ean some has big claws and some doesn't.

Yes, they are. Here is Scar with the flatter bladed feet and a shot from the ADI display at some show. Both versions of the feet seem to be accurate depending on the scene or Predator. But the Ancient on the Pyramid seems to have no covering on top of his feet at all.

Celtic may have had the smaller blades too, but you can clearly see in the movie when invisible Chopper kicks Lex that Chopper does have the big blades. The Elder, like the ancients should have nothing covering the top of his feet, but he came with big blades too.

Oh, don't do that. We only have 100 PMs limit and I burn through those too fast with all the commission requests I get.

Anybody know any way to increase the amount of PMs you can have? onesixthwarriors.com allows 30,000 PMs, so what's with the 100 we get here with so many more interesting people to talk to.

Most of us don't need even the 100, like me, I've only ever had about 10 PMs...

:(

Of course you could just keep posting your questions in this thread and us Alien, Predator and Terminator nerds will answer/argue about them...

No, no, I get commission requests and lots of back and forth messages regarding them, and I'm getting so damn tired of going through and deleting enough to ensure that I get new ones. It's really annoying.

How do I get in direct contact with the mods here so I can ask them? I've tried the "contact us" link at the bottom, but got no reply.

Just drop Wookster a pm. He's really good about replying back.

What's the animal that runs out from under the log in Predator 1? It looks like a weasel-anteater thing, but I'm not sure exactly what it is.

Why does the Predator have little tiny skulls around his neck? I thought he was all about fair fights and it doesn't seem fair for him to fight little baby monkeys and baby dolphins.

How and why does the Predator heat up his wristblade with his laser pointer?

Not 100% sure, but it looks like a muskrat

:lolBaby dolphins:rotfl
I would imagine that Predators are reared to hunt for their food and for fun. Maybe that's all stuff he hunted as he grew, and/or it's just for decoration the way we kill animals for their furs and ivory and such. Tribal people use the bones of animals to decorate themselves. Perhaps they have special significants to other Preds, or turn the females on.

Who really knows. Really, it was just a design idea for the movie. Glad to have it though.

Aside from cleaning the grime off of them after skinning it prey, I have no idea. That's kind of a dumb scene cause those lasers didn't generate heat at any other point in the movie, otherwise targetted prey would feel it or catch on fire.

Those are just my guesses.

My guess for them heating up the blades and not anything else is that the blades are an unknown metal that reacts to the lasers.

That's always been my thought anyway.

That's a stretch for me, but you're right about the unknown compound of the metal (as per the spear tip in Pred 2 discussion), so I can't say GTFO.

But again, what would be the point of doing it?

Because when we saw it on screen...we all thought.."AWW ^^^^! Here comes the pain!!"

It's for affect...that's all.
