...aaaaaand time has stopped for the brief two seconds you all spent staring at this .gif.

Nice:wink1: What films that from?

There is a correct answer to those questions? Who said they use their eyes for seeing? Are they eyes as we know them? Who said they invented the technology they use? Maybe they are controlled by Space Jockeys for fun? Lets just make it all up. Anything goes. :lol

Again, it's all grounded science fiction; we're trying to make it seem plausible.

And you're being pretty douchey :lecture

That reply was pretty douchy. Grounded science fiction? Why isn't what I'm saying plausible? Only you can make it up as you see fit huh. :tap :lol

IMO having things realistic and plausible and discussing it makes the movie seem cooler... And you laugh like you're better than others because they're "just movies"? You're the odd one out here :slap

Its not 'just a movie' when I spend ___kloads of money on toys based off of it!

My thoughts exactly. I wouldn't be doing this for 'just a movie'. Same reason I don't collect every single HT figure ever made for every new movie. They've got to be long-running obsessions (or a less-weird name for 'em ;)).

Long running obsessions indeed. For whatever reason Terminator, Robocop, Predator and Aliens really struck every chord for me as a child. Like the original Star Wars films; but whereas from 1995 I was able to start appeasing my craving for Star wars toys (having been both non-existant and then too young for the vintage line) it wasn't really until McFarlane in 2001 that I could get a collection started on the other big 4. The crappy Kenner stuff maybe kept the interest going while there was nothing better out there but ultimately this child wanted 'proper' figures not the pandering kiddy stuff, 'capture claws' and all that nonsense. And since roundabout 2001 its been non-stop - well except for Robocop. Robocop stuff is blink&miss.

:lol Jesus christ - relax boys. They may be great movies, but Predators aren't real - no matter how much some of you want them to be. :lol

I stumbled across this unbelievable piece on StatueForum and had to share it with you guys.Vader on SF had this grail commissioned.

One of the nastiest Alien pieces i've ever laid eyes on. Said to be 1/3 scale.

Since I realise you say this in good humour perhaps I shouldn't point out the irony of it coming from someone who has almost singlehandedly kept Butter's rank the Terminator/Alien films threads alive, threads which otherwise would have disappeared without trace, with countless updates on which one you're watching next :wink1:

As a great man once said in a 1987 film of some popularity around here - "you're just like the rest of us!" :lol
