If you haven't got this yet, be sure to get the latest release from FUNimation's Anime Classics line...

Amazon.com: Samurai Champloo: The Complete Series [Blu-ray]: Kari Wahlgren, Kirk Thornton, Daniel Andrews, Eric P. Sherman: Movies & TV
...the first BD release was one of FUNimation's earlier Blu-ray releases, and it had a lot of compression issues, etc. This latest release is a new encode and fixes a lot of the earlier issues. Oh, and by the way, you can get it for $28 right now!

...damn and to think I dropped about $24 on each dvd as they came out originally. Thats a damn good deal. Eventually id like to upgrade to a box set so I dont have the individual discs.

I'm trying this Netflix streaming through the PS3 and they have a ton of anime on there that you can watch anytime from older stuff like Robotech all the way to the new stuff that was released this year. As an anime fan for many years I'm really impressed at the variety they have. Now that I'm on vacation it's nice to sit in the air conditioned house relaxing and catching up on the newer anime as well as re-watching the older ones I haven't seen in many years.

I tear streaming netflix up on the 360 :yess:

my DVD box is all black. I don't think it's the very first release

We were talking about the Blu-ray releases...

anybody else order the soul eater complete series set?

I ordered the weapons version. there's a meister version too

If you are talking about the Blu-rays, the Meister set is the same as the DVD parts 1 & 2, and the Weapons set is the same as the DVD parts 3 & 4, so you will need both sets.

I'm halfway through sekirei. not too bad eventhough there's only 12 episodes

It is a pretty good series and FUNimation has licensed season 2, so there is more to come!

Yeah, Netflix has a lot of anime... other really good legal sites are Hulu, Crunchyroll and of course, the distribution companies own sites, like FUNimation, VIZ, etc.

Same here, netflix instant isnt safe on my xbox. I have all kinds of anime sitting in my instant Que even stuff that normally I wouldnt even think of watching. I usually at least watch the first 2 episodes to get an idea if i'll really like it.

I have bleach & inuyasha sitting on mine :rotfl

I watched every episode (that's aired) of both on Adult Swim! :rotfl Of course, I also own all of the boxed sets (limited editions) that have been released as well. Took me a while on the Inuyasha sets... I wasn't going to pay retail, so with patience, I picked them up one by one for around $30 to $40 each! :clap

Hey, in case any of you haven't heard, FUNimation has licensed Trigun: Badlands Rumble movie and are releasing it in theaters (limited run) and on DVD and Blu-Ray. The DVD and BD are already available for preorder at places like RightStuf and Amazon, and here is a list of US theater showings (so far)...

There are also showings in Canada, but I think most of those have past already.

Yeah, I'm surprised Austin isn't listed... we always get anime movies (mostly at the Alamo Drafthouse), but not this time... at least not yet. They will probably add more theaters as it gets closer, so check that page often.

Thought I would list a few (of many) new releases that are out or coming soon... some of you might not know about these yet.
