Mignola said last year while doing press for Darkness Calls that he did designs of over 700 different characters!!! How in the hell can you even fit 700 different charcters in one movie?!?!


Mignola was an uncredited character designer on Pan's. He took Del Toro's schetches and gave them a Mignola-ish revamp.

I dunno, I always thought his voice fit Abe like a glove. However, I wouldn't mind either way.

David Hyde Pierce did the voice for the first movie, but Doug Jones played the character on screen. He also did the voice for the Hellboy animated stuff.

For the longest time I figured that David Hyde Pierce was the actor, but then watching the Pan's Labyrinth features I found out it was the other guy. Then I got confused, not realizing Abe could have been voiced by someone else... sometimes I'm not to swift
