Okay... I'm going to work at my theater tonight. THAT poster BETTER be there when I get there. :monkey5 :monkey5 :monkey5

I guess when I see the movie it will make sense.
.. its a cool poster, but I have to wonder why theyd use an image of him punching the ground when the same pose of Ironman punching the ground has been used everywhere lately .... :monkey1

That is one sweet ass poster. I can not WAIT for this movie.....this and Batman and Harry Potter I think are my 3 most anticipated films of the year. :rock :rock

I agree... The image of him punching the ground makes me wonder if we'll be seeing him in this movie:D:

As cool as the new poster is, I still wish they would have gone the Drew Struzan route:

To me, this captures the spirit of Hellboy more. :monkey2 :monkey2 :monkey2

Damn I hope my friend's son gets a job at the theater so I can get that poster :monkey5

Not to mention free movies :monkey1

It's o.k true HELLBOY fans will wait :rock:rock:rock:rock

Oh, I'll be there with bells on. But the clock is ticking, I don't want it to be Hellboy and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Not that Pearlman couldn't pull it off, but I can't see Shia Lebouf as Hellboy Junior. :D

I'm working on building a better Sideshow Hellboy as I have been able to get pretty much all the parts (except the ACE body) for free. I'm waiting on the rest at the moment but here's as far as I've gotten. The ACE body always seemed to me like the perfect body for a movie Hellboy.

So while I wait for a certain someone to ship Hellboy to me Chesh has sent me a bunch of 1/6 scale stuff. Some of it I bought from him and some he generously supplied gratis. Included where three pairs of girl sunglasses, a bunch of guns (mostly SMGs), and Sideshow Hellboy's pants and coat.

I've been planning for awhile to use an ACE body as well as some new paint and a few other minor mods to create a better Hellboy. I got started with what I have at the moment by putting wire in his coat with really helps it hang with some semblance of gravity. I was also a bit amazed that Hellboy's pants fit the ACE body no problem at all. So far I have wired the bottom hem as well as the vertical hem along the buttons. I still need to wire the vertical hems along the vent in the back as well as the caplet's hem.

That body looks a tad wimpy for HB, but it'll probably work out OK. Those boots already look worlds better than the Herman Munster ones that Sideshow used.

Dedguy, I love how the jacket hangs. Any idea how to get rid of the poofy shoulders? They are always sticking out and I can't stand it, but I can't sew.

Also, I have some extra bits and pieces from a Hellboy I've been cannibalizing if you need any spare parts.

icruise: It's the buffest of the normal articulated bodies I know of and has the perfect kind of shoulders. It will look better I think once I get a thicker shirt on him. Oh, also I plan on using the boots that come with the SS Hellboy, they look a bit silly but are movie accurate.

YoNoSe: Cool, I may need some gun parts, we'll see. As far as poofy shoulders go, I find that double sided carpet tape works wonders for various cloth posing purposes.

My main concern about the body is the chest, since it doesn't seem very muscular. But you may be able to do something about that with some padding or something, and it may be that the outfit will cover it up enough that it doesn't matter.

As for the boots, it's true that the ones in the movie had thick soles (or at least the "hero" ones did -- I swear some of the long shots show boots with much thinner soles). But somehow the Sideshow ones seem thicker and more clumsy looking. I think part of it is the fact that they don't have a separated heel like the actual boot did.
