Went by Target and showed the guy at Guest Services the new price on Hulkbuster. He asked if I had the original card I purchased with (my Target Redcard) and refunded me the difference without needing a receipt. Thanks for posting about the price drop!

****, I may have to try that.

On a related note, my SDCC Red Skull and Tesseract arrived today.

Target exclusive

Thanks!
I finally noticed the listing said Target excl. over at Fwoosh. :duh

I had a hell of a time trying to order the Bishop figure at Amazon today, $19.99 added to my cart but they wouldn't let me checkout, it had already sold out. That didn't keep me from trying for an hour.
I did use their useless "tell us about a lower price" feature on their website for the third party sellers, I told them Bishop was available for retail price from themselves. :lol I wish Amazon would forbid third party sellers from selling figures at a markup, especially if it's just hitting shelves.

I went ahead and ordered the Hulkbuster/Hulk set. $4 in taxes! :thud:

Heads up!
The SDCC Excl. Red Skull with 1:1 scale Tesseract is available at Hasbro Toy Shop:
https://www.hasbrotoyshop.com/en/htsusa/-e24400000

I would've bought one if it wasn't for the Hulkbuster/Hulk set I bought yesterday, hopefully this sells out before I'm tempted to spend my dinner money. :lol

Edit:
YIKES! $71.48 with taxes and shipping, no promo codes available, not even free shipping! This will cost more to get than the monster Hulkbuster and Hulk set! Nope, not going to buy. I'd rather just stick with the single issue Red Skull figure.

Never in a million years will that Red Skull and plastic lighted box be worth that price, smart move.

I do like his longer coat though lol

Is it just me or are a good number of Diamond Select sculpts going down the *******? You get the gems like the Ragnarok Hulk, or that Rogue up there, but the vast majority what they're doing just seems to fall into amateur. Anatomy is really off (IW Thor statue v1, Black Panther car statue), scaling is bad (good amount of recent MS releases), likenesses range from acceptable to uncomfortable (looking at you Santa Steve Rogers). And let's not even get started on the Ragnarok Thor.

I went looking for pics of the Ant Man and the Wasp PVC statues because I was thinking they'd be a fun, cheaper alternative to the HT with a proper repaint. Plus it'd be a neat play on the scaling factors on them that way. But the pose on Ant Man is...less than inspired, with a bizzare left (his) leg that it just seems contorted. On top of it, simple things even Hasbro goes for like translucent visors are ignored. That's not the MS I remember. The only thing from SDCC that remotely impressed me are their John wick figure and statue.

It drives me nuts. At that rate I'd probably be getting better value for money with a $150 HT Red Skull bootleg.

I have a feeling that these might be around long enough to allow discounts. Either that or it gets a re-release without the Tesseract eventually.
I wonder has anyone tried the Red Skull head on the Cloak figure? Might make a cool Infinity War version.
Put in Targets lower price for the Iron Man MkVII on Amazon and got it there for 19.99! :yess:

Congrats! That's $2 more than I spent on mine.
It seems like Amazon only honors a competitor's price when the item is sold by them and those competitors are Target or Walmart.

It’s insane how expensive this hobby has become across all price ranges.

I’m waiting for the Thanos 3 pack to drop in price. :tap

That and the Ant-Man/Yellowjacket set for me. The Ant-Man set was $37 on Amazon once, I hesitated and now it's staying at $50.. :banghead

Cardinal rule of collecting......buy it when you see it. We've all been burned by it.

YES! Case in point: I saw Toxin and Typhoid Mary at my local Target, but said “just wait and buy the wave from BBTS; you’ll never find Venom or Carnage in stores.”

Fast forward two weeks, I found both of those and the white Parker Venom (name escapes me) at Meijer for retail.

So I did what any ***** OCD collector would do... bought them and then went online and paid $10 over retail for the remaining three in the wave. I hate me sometimes.

Where can I get a HT bootleg Red Skull? I have the official version’s head and coat. I’d like to build a kitbash.

So i got this idea from watching the behind the scenes part of infinity wars...thors metal arms were added in post and he was actually sleevless during filming. Well i like the sleevless look. Its pretty easy swap just heat up the torso and the entire arm comes out at the shoulder. The upper torso is softer than the usual figure

He wore it in certain scenes, I'm thinking it's the part where he introduces Groot. He barely moves his arm during that scene.
