is this Universe 2.0 or 2008 line or whatever its called supposed to just be a continuation of the classics line or is it a new line? in other words, do i have to track down a classics optimus or will one be released with this line?

It's considered a new line, but is just a continuation of the classics line.

I would get the Takara version of the classics Prime if I were you.

Correct. It just fits over Bulkhead's head.

A neat feature is that when you place the head on Bulkhead it says one of Headmaster's famous sayings,"total ownage!" :lol

Do you know how tall the Leader versions of Bulkhead and Megatron will be?

Also, how tall is the Optimus (that I posted above)? You usually know these things, so that's why I'm asking. To justify the $50+ price tag, I was thinking he'd probably be tall.

Leader Maegatron and Bulkhead are about 10 inches tall, head to toe.

Leader Megatron and Voyager Prime will be in cartoon scale with each other. Bulkhead still looks a little too small IMO.

I don't know anything about that $50 Prime. I know that Hasbro was going to do a "super deluxe" version of him but I thought it wasn't going to come out till next year.

I recommend all of the Takara classics figures. They blow away all the Hasbro versions.

I thought the "Baa Weep Grahna Weep Ninny Bong" made it obvious. Sorry. :monkey3

His episode, "Garbage In, Garbage Out", perimes this Saturday on Cartoon Network.

It's already been shown on YTV in Canada. :(

A friend of mine in Canada sent me that GIF just to piss me off.

He loves the fact that he gets to see all the new episodes a week before me. :monkey4:monkey4:monkey4

to tell you the truth, i dont remember this guy one bit from G1. but i havent watched the series since i was a kid. ive been watching a few episodes on youtube lately and im trying to score the dvd's off evilbay. i was gonna try to pick them up a year or so ago but i heard they were gonna rerelease them in 2007. obviously that didnt happen. im sure the second i win them on ebay they will announce the arrival of G1 on blu-ray.:lol

I believe he made his debut the transformers movie, which I myself only saw for the first time a few months ago (never saw it as a kid and sort of stopped being into TFs around the time it came out). I frankly hated the movie, since they casually killed off most of the important characters from the show, and because it was such a big departure in tone from the show. And frankly I thought the story and music also sucked. I even thought Eric Idle (who I love in almost everything else) was terrible. Oh well.

Ouch... admittedly its not the greatest film ever, but damn :lol

Although I think seeing for the first time as an adult would be very different that having grown up with the movie.

Yeah, I mean I totally understand having affection for movies that you grew up with. A lot of the movies that I love don't really stand up to a close inspection. But I watched the TF movie for the first time as an adult without knowing anything about it at all, so you can imagine how I reacted to some of the more startling revelations. If they had set out to make a movie that would turn me off it wouldn't have been much different. I keep meaning to give it another chance, but I haven't gotten around to it yet.
