For anybody interested, BBTS now has a fan made (by FansProject, the same people who made the custom head and add-ons for the Classics Cliffjumper, and the Masterpiece Starscream Coronation set) add on set on PRE-ORDER to add onto the Classics Ultra Magnus!! This thing looks friggin sweet. It is unpainted right now, but will be painted in the G1 Magnus colors (the proper colors). Check out some pics:

I've also pre-ordered the Ultra Magnus armor/trailer and am really looking forward to it. Their next project is going to be a trailer for Classics Optimus Prime!!!

I'll be getting the majority of the new molds except for Tankor and the ridiculously beefed up Powerglide.
A few of those including the Roadbuster Vs Dirge 2-pack are repaints from older lines so I'm not overly bothered about those apart from Dropshot (the Decepticon missile launcher) which looks really good.
All the Autobot cars look amazing and in an age where certain car companies won't allow their cars to be used it's good to see Hasbro have got away with making Sideswipe and Sunstreaker look like a hybrid of various models of Lamborghini.

holy crap!! that is great stuff man!! i definately need that classics sunstreaker. he was one of my favorites as a kid. still got the G1 somewhere. those animated dinobots look great as well. was that cement truck supposed to be an updated Mixmaster?

what would you guys say my best bet is for G1 dvds?
should i try to score the rhino dvd's on ebay?
should i get one of those import sets in the collector's tin?

I have the Rhino sets they are great. If you get the imports, you run the risk that your DVD player might not play them. And I'd say if there wasn't a re-release of the G1 show when the movie came out it might not happen soon.

But, Soundwave as a Scion is weak... thats a modernization that I'm not down with.

i have the chinese G1 complete series and it's great. came with a bunch of cool stuff....paid like $75 for it.

Kids nowadays have no clue what a tape deck is and a CD player sure as hell wouldn't work. I like him, even if he is a Scion.
