No, you said Takara designs them. They don't, not mostly in any case. :)

And it's funny that you accuse me of having a cocky attitude when you did whole "HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA NEWB I'M RIGHT ANYWAYS HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA" bit. ;)

I was being sarcastic. hehe

I was making fun of the whole cocky know-it-all fanboy attitude. ;)

If anyone here is into the Revoltech Transformers they got Ultra Magnus, Megatron, Hot Rodimus and Starscream Instock and Optimus Prime for May Restock at hlj.com. I've been searching for Ultra Magnus for a while but allot of sellers wanted him for $50 plus because he was a limited run. But finally they re-released him. By the way they are $18.11 each.

First of all, Takara designs the Transformer toys. Hasbro has eff all to do with it. My point is Takara are the kings when it comes to putting together a rock solid transforming figure. They have been doing it since 1974. Which is the year I believed the Diaclone series came out, and where a lot of the G1 cast molds came from, like your Optimus' (Convoy), Prowls (forgot), Jazzs (Meister) and your Megatrons (U.N.C.L.E.). .

That's why I would be hesitant with the idea of handing another company the licensing rights. Although, in HT we trust. Look how well they do with engineering mechincal things... Eg: The Powerloader and the Endoskeleton.

That's not entirely true BOTH companies have worked together on almost every TF series since G1. The reason why all TFs have Hasbro and Takara trademarked on them is due to the fact that both companies co-own the TF trademark. Also Takara's main responsibility in the license is to manufacture the toys. What most people don't realize is that Takara owns all of the factories where Hasbro's figures are produced. Hasbro on the other hand does a lot of of the R&D and designs the concepts.

Ever since TF 2015, AKA TF G1 season 3 for the noobs, started both companies have both designed the toys. Example, all of the newer vehicles or non-diaclone and non-microman figures for G1 were designed almost completely by Hasbro not Takara. Also it has Hasbro who designed the cartoon as well and were the ones who hired Sunbrow to make it. Takara just got the rights to show the cartoon overseas.

It was Hasbro who came up with the idea for the Transformers line not Takara. Takara owned the rights to the molds for the figures but it was Hasbro's marketing department that designed the whole TF universe. Diaclone and Microman were both dead by then and Takara just didn't realize that their own figures could be reused in a whole new line. If fact, that's the whole reason behind the Japanese TF universe not being identical to the Hasbro version cause at that time Takara didn't want it to look like they were just reusing Hasbro's own ideas. Hence why the Destrons are not from Cybertron.

Furthermore, as G1 ended and all throughout the 90's, both companies have worked on TF. Hasbro, or more specifically Jenner which Hasbro had just bought out, designed all of the Beast Wars figures and storyline. Takara designed the Beast Wars Neo line and reused most of Hasbro Beast Wars figures in the process. The RID series on the other hand was completely done by Takara. Armada was a joint venture with each company contributing to everything. Energon was mostly done by Takara while Cybertron was a Hasbro line but the cartoon was designed by Takara, which is why there are several Dragonball Z references in the fight scenes. :lol

My point is that BOTH companies have equally contributed to the TF Universe. Saying one sucks, or has nothing to do with "it" is just naive.

Nice. I had Optimus on order at BBTS so I stupidly didn't pick one up while in Japan, thinking that I already had too much stuff to bring back. But if I can order Ultra Magnus as well, I'll just move my order to HLJ. By the way, BBTS is charging $34.99 for the Ultra Magnus preorder!

what's shipping from HLJ though?

Sweet!! BBTS got my classics optimus import off backorder. it's now in my "pile of loot". should i have em send it to me now or wait til i add a few items and then get a big ass package delivered so it feels like christmas? BTW. how long will they hold your pile of loot?

Just today I got a HUGE "pile of loot" package from BBTS. I saved up a bunch of little things that I found over the course of a month a half or so and finally decided that it had hit critical mass. There isn't any limit to the amount of time you can save your loot. Also, here is a little tip for you: save your loot until BBTS runs another sale on all of their in-stock items. You can cancel an item and then reorder it at the cheaper price. This will even work if the item is no longer listed as in stock. I had a number of items that I ordered earlier and that were listed as "sold out." But since BBTS's inventory system reflects cancellations right away, I was able to cancel the item and then immediately buy it again at 15% off. I saved a fair amount of money that way, especially since some of the items had been reduced in price since I had first ordered, in addition to the 15% off. I'm not sure I would do this if the item in question was no longer listed on their site, though.

they just sent me an email today about a clearence sale of 100 items. lots of GI joes and some movie transformers. didnt really see anything i wanted, however. might keep prime there until some of that classics/universe stuff starts arriving. or until i save up for the classics megatron import. dont like the neon stuff on the hasbro version.

looks like we may see an eventual re-release of the G1 dvds afterall.

PS. nice pic there P!TU. i have the green version of devastator but i played with the thing so much as a kid that it's in pretty bad shape and scrapper's arms are loose and broken so devastator doesn't stand up very well. wish they'd release a decent classics version of all 6 characters. a real version. not that walmart exclusive repaint thing.
