well i caved and got the asian collector tin version of the G1 cartoons. it arrived today. figure id save a couple hundred bucks. pretty sweet set too i might add. and it plays right out of the box in english with no chinese subtitles. dont have to switch any thing at all during playback.
and then i saw this:

looks like we may see an eventual re-release of the G1 dvds afterall.

Hopefully they will re-release Transformers and G.I. Joe. I missed out on both series

i just received classics ultra magnus in the mail today. now im just waiting for that trailer for him.
got him with skywarp in a 2-pack. both are pretty cool but ultra magnus is definately the better of the 2 even if he is just another prime repaint. at least the trailer will make him unique against prime. just hope the fansproject gets cracking on an optimus trailer.

skywarp was my first transformer as a kid so he is special to me. out of all the toys i got as child i still remember getting him for christmas probably in '84. every other toy i ever got is just a blur in my memory but not that one. this classics version is pretty cool. just wish he had some decpticon logos on him somewhere especially on the wings. just has that rub sign thingy. im trying to grab an import classics starscream which seems to have a better paint scheme than the hasbro version.

I bought the pack for Skywarp and resold Ultra Magnus as I didn't really want it without armor. So naturally the armor/trailer got announced not long after and I've now got to get Ultra Magnus again lol!
A trailer for Optimus Prime is already in the works. Early concept drawings were shown at a recent toy show and it looks like being another great piece of work.

It's Transformers Day at my house!!


Last month I had to cancel my trip to BOTCON. Due to an unforeseen emergency at work, my boss got hurt, I couldn't get the time off. My friend and I already had reservations and purchased our tickets etc...so instead of eating the tickets I let my best friend take his brother and let him use my ticket as long as he agreed to pick up all of the exclusives for me. So before he left I sent him a ton of cash plus a list of stuff I was looking for.

Today I got my package full of BOTCON stuff and here's what he was able to pick up for me at the CON.

and here. but i still have my G1 sunstreaker. another of my favorites. dont remember the terrorcons at all. but i do remember the stunticons. i really wanted predaking when i was a kid but i think he was too hard to find in the area we lived. no internet back then you know. best you could do is the sears catalog.

Sunstreaker and Trailbreaker definitely are as the boxes look too good to be originals and they've never had an official reissue as according to Takara their molds are either damaged or lost which is also the case with Wheeljack,Mirage & the Dinobots.
Even if some of them are KO's it's still a nice haul.

Many of the most recent G1 knockoffs are almost identical to the original and the only difference is either the quality of the plastic they are made from or the trademarks stamped on some of the parts. Rub signs are easy to get hold of,check out reprolabels.com for proof of this.

I don't know. They show some wear and have places where a price tag has been removed. They're not super mint by any means.
