This company needs to put this Megs out as soon as possible, and I hope that doesn't hurt QC.

Also, it woudl be great if Takara had this already in the pipeline, and maybe show some sort of proto image ASAP, as to "compete" and moreover, give us that really been dying for a MP Megs a hint of what's to come before going with an entity that is less of a given. If they don't, oh well. I'll still keep my p/o for the one showed. But would surely love an MP version of this to "compete," heck we all win.

TFs fans will probably buy Takara MP Megatron too if they do a good job. I don't see most will pass even if they already owned X-Transbots version.

That's what's been bugging me, the legs look too stumpy.

I also don't like how the eyes look, I don't know whether it's the lighting in that pic that's throwing me off but they just look like black slits, they're supposed to be red.

His waist looks really skinny, too.

Don't get me wrong, though - he looks great. Just not Hasui great. Not that Hasui will be designing MP Megatron V2, unfortunately... but I still think Kobayashi will pull off a better one than this. Not that this sucks, mind you! (Barring QC issues.)

I think it's likely that Takara have other character designs on file just waiting for a green light to go into production so maybe Hasui already did Megatron before he was moved off the line. At the very least I would think some preliminary sketches have been done.

Megatron V1 was flawed but none of us armchair critics could have done any better if given the same 12 day timespan in which to do the project so if Kobayashi's the guy who does V2 I'm confident he'll deliver, I just hope he's given longer than 12 days and that he doesn't add a giant buttflap as an afterthought

If it's not been designed yet, Takara could quite easily play the 3rd parties at their own game and steal elements of Appolyon's design and then improve on it wherever they felt necessary.

Not that I think it will be a tank for a minute as there's no issue with gun laws for Takara to worry about.

If Takara wants to make him a tank though,It makes XTranbots Megs an even easier buy


edit-Rumor is said that MP 25 is Megatron and he will be a tank

MP Sunstreaker MP26 is also coming next year with Mirage MP-27

Regarding Megatron, I don't mind him being a tank provided in robot form he looks like his G1 form. He'll be displayed in robot mode anyway.

It would be interesting to see but it would be very odd if they did G2 Megatron in G1 colors instead of just doing him right. Maybe they actually thought the first MP Megs was the best they could do as a gun? For a long time I thought it was making the best of a bad situation. There's a lot of room in a P38 to turn it into something that looks like cartoon Megatron. But I have now seen two third party companies do it so…

Now that you mention it, you're right that it needs to be a Walther P-38 since if it was a tank, there would be no way it could transform into the Megatron we know and love. And agreed, a grey tank would be odd.

^ It would probably look awesome and I'd pick it up as well . But seriously, I don't think Takara would make a move that. Can you imagine the outcry from the fans? Let say they actually do make a G2 Tank Megatron next, they'll still have the V2 G1 Megatron in the pipeline.
