I've watched about four episodes of the new Transformers: Animated series. Quick question; do Autobots ever battle Decepticons on this show or is it just kind of Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends but with robots instead?

As a long time Transformers fan I love the new show. There are plenty of nods to G1 plus Beast Wars. I look forward to this show every Saturday as it has a pretty good handle on Transformers lore. You can tell the writers are fans of both the old and newer Transformers series.
Just to answer what is going on with the Decepticons
***SPOLIER ALERT***
If you did not see the first 3 episodes, Megatron is "dead" after the first episode leaving the Decepticons in a state of disorganization. Once he comes back by the end of the first season they get back together for the most part. Starscream is still trying to become the leader of the Decepticons, he even attacks Megatron so Megatron kills him. Starscream's body comes upon a fragment of All-Spark and he is revived.
The Autobots do not battle Decepticons in every episode but they are just one of the threats to the Autobots.
-You also have the Autobot Elite Guard keeping tabs on Prime and his crew
-They have to deal with the Dinobots who are not quite allies yet
-There is the corrupt company that were allies to the Autobots but is now run by the devious Porter C. Powell who is out to get the Autobots
-There are actually super villains, yeah I know, in the future Detriot the Autobots inhabit and the Autobots act as peace keepers
-Blackarachnia is up to no good
-There are plenty of Transformers who show up like Blurr, Wreckgarr, the Constructicons to name a few who are usually not on the side of the Autobots
-The All-Spark has been broken into fragments creating new Transformers like the ones listed above
-The villainous bounty hunter Lockdown is always a threat
The show also has some pretty cool background episodes that takes place on Cybertron in the past, some dealing with the last Cybertronian War.
Give it a try.

Not a huge transformers fan, but it's hard to resist giant transforming planets; here are mine:
I personally like the dark Unicron better than the orange and pink movie-correct version. Sucker takes up a helluva lot of shelf space tough.

They do battle but for the first 14 episodes or so it's kind of slow. Every once in a while one shows up to cause trouble but it's not till episode 14 or so when Megatron and his group really start to show up regularly. After that they pretty much show almost every episode.
The series is good if you watch all the episodes. There's an overall ark in both seasons that kind of connects all the episodes. Sure there are a few bad episodes but for the most part the episodes are rather good.

Just so that I'm correct on scale the Jazz, Prowl, Ratchet and Bumblebee are Deluxe, Prime, Megatron and Bulkhead are Vogager, correct?

The Bulkhead featured in that pic is the Leader version; the Voyager is smaller then Bumblebee, but very, err, bulky.
That Bulkhead is Leader class? Then what scale is Bumblebee?

Bumblebee is a deluxe.
You have to understand that Hasbro's scale is way off on this line. Sad, yes. But for the quality of these, it's acceptable.
I just pulled up an episode on youtube and paused when most of the autobots were standing together. Other than Bumblebee being a little too big that group shot up above looks pretty accurately scaled.
