Looking good, still holding out for TT but Ill def be keeping my eye on this.

There's no way TT isn't touching this, thats one of the main reasons why I'm passing too. It's a matter of when.

With Shockwave revealed, I see TT differently now. They are out for blood.

Re: All things transformers!!!!

That devy reminds me of Herc. Need to see it painted, as it is now it looks overly exaggerated on the details.
The proportions are way better than Hercules IMO. He also seems able to stand up in a way that doesn't look awkward. There are a lot of details, but if you want to do the component construction vehicles well that's probably unavoidable.

i'm getting that 30'' devastator for sure....and that oversized Optimus prie comes with a 112 shipping charge to the US....so I will have to wait at least a month before I can put the coin towards it....thanks for the link too guys...:)

also...is that sunstreaker up for PO anywhere? it looks like there are LEDs from some angles....good day to be a TF collector...:)

Shockwave and Hot Rod look really good. A real return to form for Takara after a lot of lack luster releases/reveals.

Gonna stick with my Quakewave but I'll pick up Hot Rod for sure.

Sideswipe has his brother :clap

This makes me so happy :clap:yess::hi5:

Looks SOOOOOOOO good. LOVE the face sculpt

I get what franpincho is saying, all the lines and panels make these guys look a bit too busy. Needs less detailing aka more flat panels to match G1 Devs more closely. These line art sketches resemble Hercs line art sketches in the fact that the details are quite busy. Still looks great and monsterous but at probably $100+ shipping a pop $600-$700 completed,Ill probably pass. I can have a halfway decent Devs (CW) for a fourth of that. Plus IF TT dare to tackle Devs in the future, offloading this guy will prob not net you half your monies back, look at the going rate of Herc now.

$112 shipping charge for OS Optimus Mp10? Im sure Ive seen it cheaper somewhere... Ill look for it.

Edit: here ya go $99 shipped Transformers Age of Extinction MP10 Metal Part Optimus Prime Figure | eBay

Dev looks cool but it is pretty busy. It'll be interesting to see it painted. At the price point it's probably going to hit I'll more than likely pass on it though. Can't wait to see more pictures.

Furyan,
Not sure if you're aware but Shogo Hasui, the former head of the design team for the Masterpiece line was at Comic Con promoting Combiner Wars Devastator which he also designed.

A member at TFW was fortunate enough to get a few moments to chat with Hasui and specifically asked about combiners and was told that there are no plans for MP combiners.

There's a lot of excitement right now because TT announced 2 new molds so close together but the chances of that being a guarantee of anything other than Hot Rod and Shockwave are slim.

I think Gravity Builder looks decent but am not entirely sold on the look of the individual Constructicons....yet. I'll be intrested to see how it looks fully colored as that will likely lessen the "overdetailing" issue that people are having.

I know the UK dealers have SunSurge up for pre-order, not sure on elsewhere.

Corsair,
Yes Im aware of that conversation and well, the likely hood of TT actually producing a MP Devestator. It may never ever happen or if it does it may be a long long ways away. Still Ill never give up hope for one! I can wait because we are getting some really excellent MP's lately, there is plenty on my plate to keep me full lol. Only time will time, fingers crossed ;). I think gravity builder looks ok,but toyworlds version just blew it out the water.

MP devastator will happen. Silly to think otherwise.

Yeah, as I said - his chest is tiny. He skipped... chest day? Looks weird.

TT's plans can always change but the factors working against a MP Devastator happening are financial viability and TT's tendency to focus on Autobots.

OK, they've just announced Shockwave but 6 new Decepticon molds with Seeker sized robot modes and little repaint potential might be a problem for TT's bean counters.

If it was a choice between paying out for them, or 6 more repaints of existing molds I'm pretty certain what route they'd go....there's at least 4-5 more options for Bumblebee variants :lol

Doh! I think I got Gravity Builder mixed up with this newer one, there's been so many 3rd party combiners that I stopped paying full attention a while back. Hopefully a Devastator will surface that's worthy of a place in a MP display and not just fully combined, a nice set of Constructicons would fill out the Decepticon ranks which aren't exactly overflowing.

Got Fanstoys toon Bombshell today! Man,they knocked this figure out of the park (like the Dinobots)...I don't see how Takara could make this any better

My favorite will always be Green Giant. I know it's far from everyone's favorite as everyone has different needs but there's just something about it's updated design… both in combined and separate modes… that just does it for me.

That said… ToyWorld's would be my second choice. It's too big imo to fit in with MP scale stuff but it also just looks great. I always love the look of ToyWorld's stuff. Something about their aesthetic just does it for me.

If we stop and think about it, what's a right size for a MP combined really? It's truly impossible to say IMO. I don't think that's even a possibility.

But I think this guy's size is perfect.

Takara's wtching these 3'rd party Combiners. it's rediculous to think they're not. and if that 3rd party MP devvy sells, you can bank on it that Takara will take a stab, and likely release EACH bot separately, one at a time.

the big question is, will it be better than the 3rd party ones.
