Yep, I do the same. :rock

btw, back on topic, so is it definite that Hasbro will NOT be putting out premium editions of the new TFs with better paint jobs? It was really annoying to get all the figures from the first movie, have them repainted, only to have better painted figures come out later. i want to get some of the new figures, but don't want to if better ones will come out later. Ofcourse, i don't want to wait hoping for better ones, only to have them NOT come out and miss out on them altogether.

the decisions and issues in life I tell you.

knowing Hasbro, they will without a doubt release premium versions, after about 1 or 2 repaints and parts switches down the road. so for anybody you must have, buy them when they come out. but as far as others, i'd wait for down the road.

As a recent "convert" to Bayformers I have to say I'm looking forward to at least some of the toys, the Human Alliance Bumblebee and the new Voyager Class Starscream mold are top of my list.

I also wouldn't mind getting the new Leader Class Optimus Prime but I'm gonna have to get it painted properly because Hasbro have completely half assed it,all the areas that should be a shiny silver or chrome are in that cheap & nasty looking grey plastic and as a result what is actually a well detailed, well designed new mold looks more like a bootleg.

I understand Hasbro wanting to save on production costs in the current economic climate but they could surely put a bit more effort into making the Leader Class toys look better.

I can't get too angry though as Masterpiece Grimlock is out in Japan on the 26th so I'll have it a week or so later and Takara rarely disappoint :)

Hopefully our Premium worries will be answered by Takara. :lol Hopefully they'll give the movie toys the Henkei treatment this time around and not just import the Hasbro toys like last time.

Ok.. So up untill recently the last transformer toy I bought was The old Beast wars Silverbolt. Before that it was 80's G1 stuff. Then last night I went into a toyd R us after seeing the Watchmen, and found the Transformers Classics Hound. As a kid, Houd was allways one of my favorites, So for 10$, i figures it was worth it. the past fewww weeks i've been getting into the new animated series as well, SO I've been looking for a good, cheap collectable from them, and these fit it for me. they're G1 ( my personal preference) look nice and pose well too.

Anyways, after getting home, i did some searching, found the differences between the Hasbro and the Takara henki ( takara as better paint apps mostly it seems). Personaly, COST is my chief concern with these So i'm fine with the hasbro versions. I've done some checking, and seen all the ones i've missed that were G1 designs. I was a little worried since Hound came with Ravage, that i'd already missed a soundwave. Glad i was wrong. BACK ON POINT, where is a good, inexpensive place to track down the Earlier hasbro ones I missed? I see BBTS has a good price on Prowl, but so far, that's all i have found. All I'm interested in are the ones who's bot modes are like the designes from the old comic/cartoon, so what ones are out there already, and where can i get them for a good price?

guess I'll be saving money from importing since the differences don't seem to be much, if any

Awww, that makes me sad. :( Oh well, I always have the trailer for the opening movie of Animated's third season to comfort me. :rock

Nice little touch: The original Hot Rod VA voices Rodimus this time around. :lol

all the newer 2.0 classics can be had close to retail on ebay. BUT the original classics, Mirage, Prime, Bummblebee, cliffjumper, Hot Rod, Skywarp, Skyfire, and Ultra Magnus, well those are at a premium. I'm hoping that Hasbro will go back and reissue some of those molds though like they did with Starscream.

Starting to notice. not sooo bad... I'll go out again next week and hit thek-marts, seeing if i can find the 2.0's

who knows, perhaps soe=ome of the 1.0's will get a re-release...

You could also try the classifieds at seibertron.com or tfworld2005 as there's always plenty of people selling stuff there for decent prices.

I should have my first ROTF toy in a couple of days as I've managed to get Soundwave from another UK seller for £14 shipped.
One intresting revelation on the packaging is regarding Soundwave's projectile, seems like his change to a satellite from a tape deck hasn't meant no more little buddies to carry around.

I VAGUELY remember something about an omega supreme toy last year, but I cannot find ANY info on him. allways was a favorite. anyone know anything? was it an animated toy, one of the classics, etc?

There was a reissue of the G1 version last year, and a rumored Supreme-class toy for Animated. That's all I can think of, though.

New pics of Grimlock! :rock
