Indeed. Most of my TF's are Classics/Universe/Henkei ones so the fact the Grimlock is a bit smaller than he should have been in relation to the other Masterpieces doesn't bother me a bit,the hideous looking Deluxe Grimlock that was released in the Classics and Henkei lines has just been made totally redundant.

It's by far the most expensive TF I'll have ever bought (approx £130 shipped ) but even if it got released here in the UK I wouldn't trust Hasbros QC as their versions of MP Prime sucked so I'm gonna bite the bullet and go with Takara.

There's more Dinobot related goodness on the way as well,
JustItoys who made the excellent World's Smallest Dinobots have announced they will be making more versions of Grimlock & co only this time they'll be scaled to go with the Takara Hybrid Style Optimus Prime which is roughly the same size as your average Star Wars figure.

The different versions of Prime were very detailed and had lots of articulation so these could well turn out like mini Masterpiece toys. There's no proto pics yet but from the bit of info on their site it looks like Snarl will be the first one.

Since these pics of MP Prime have came up, I think I have the non metal version or non-chrome, can some one enlighten me on the two different versions of MP Prime and where I could possible find one? I assume they are pretty hefty in price as well since it's been a while since they have been out. I have MP Megs and Starscream but would like to add the Metal/Chrome version MP Prime.

You have a non metal one? All of them are pretty much all die-cast. Both Tak MP-01 and MP-04 is the same with addition of the trailer in the later. The Hasbro 20th is practically the same also, except shorter smoke stacks and a slightly different color scheme.

There were two versions of the 20th Prime, the original had chrome details and slight battle damage; V.2 was more plastic looking and had a cleaner paint job.

I guess I'm wanting the one with tall smoke stacks and chrome... Any ideas about located one of these guys? Or is eBay my only hope? What's the diff between MP-01 and MP-04, or maybe I'm just an idiot and missed it mentioned?

Like I said earlier, i got hooked on the Universe classics line... and I was looking up all the characters i remember from the cartoon, and i look up Ultra magnus... and find THIS

and I crap myself. I've done my homework today, i know it's an add-on to the Magnus two-pack figure... and I know it's hard as hell to get... :cry

Can anyone help me get my hands on one? Been scowering boards looking in the for sale sections. MIGHT have a lead on the hiss-tank boards... but if anyone here has one they wqanna sell me, I'd rather give a fellow freak my money first. PROVIDED there's a freak who wants to part with one.

Yeah, the design is really out from the movie design, at least the repaint ease that feeling somewhat.
