I also did the combo thing. It's a little tricky in places, but once you get them together they're relatively stable. They are huge! I positioned his wings a bit differently than they show in the instructions, since I think it looks better.

The Jetfire/Prime combo looks great. I finally got around to picking up Prime yesterday. His transformation is a bit frustrating (One can only hear "I am Optimus Prime" so many times before you start ripping your hair out) but its totally worth it since he is so accurate in both modes.

I don't really get the combo here..Prime essentially just plugs into Jetfires feet and stands in front of him..they could had made it a little better i think...like they did with RID Optimus and Ultra Magnus.

Well, it's a little more involved than that -- Jetfire plugs into Prime's back, their feet snap together, and there's even a rubber "belt" that goes around prime to hold them together (works better than it sounds). I sort of agree about the design. They could've made them fit together into more of a cohesive whole, but this is actually pretty much the way it was in the movie.

I think it would have been better had they just released Leader Prime with some snap on Jetfire "armor" instead of going for the full combination as the whole thing looks a bit ugly.

I know it's a bit lazy having them combine like that but to be honest, it's how it kinda happens in the film, obviously i do hope i didn't spoil that major plot nugget for anyone, at least i didn't mention the bit where prime......no too cruel

Wow, that Devastator doesn't look to good in that review...
I love the light function though, and the way his mouth opens, but that's about it.

Hasbro should make leader and voyager-class figures of each of the Constructicons, so that they are in scale with eachother and make them so that they can become a huge ultimate Devastator

Probably not going to happen though...

Yeah they are.

As for the best Starscream, the only non-simplified version is the voyager Starscream, but he looks pretty similar to the old one. It's an okay figure, but I've already got several different repaints of the same mold so I'm waiting for the leader class one that is due next year.
