Finally got my notice from amazon that my Jetfire will be shipped. I also just got the Battle Charged Bumblebee for $73 shipped. I know it's hated a lot but being a BB fan I couldn't pass it at that price. Too bad Hasbro only changed the head and front end of the car and did nothing with the arm canon.

Congratulations :) I got my shipping notice too. How and where did you manage to get Battle Charged Bumblebee for $73 shipped? I agree they should have changed the arm canon as well.

I want to get a film Bumblebee but is there one where I can have the face guard showing? I prefer that look to the "robotic" face...

Ebay seller had 3 Battle Charged BB for $79.99 shipped and I used the live search cashback and right now its at 8%. I bought the last one, sellers name is gclarks01. He had about 5 or so listed a few days ago and was sold pretty quick, then he put 3 today and all 3 was sold in an hour or 2.

Yeah, there is Human Alliance Bumblebee that comes with a Face Guard Mask. It was recently released and is around $29.99 to $35 and selling like hotcakes as we speak.

And then there is Ultimate Bumblebee 2009 version which features the Face Guard Mask as well. I have seen several of these at my local Targets. They are normally around $89-$120+ depending on where you look.

Just picked up the deluxe Bumblebee! And got a great free ROTF poster with it! :rock

A great figure, although the first time transforming it was pretty hard...
But after a couple of times it went better :)

The little guy looks great next to my other Autobots from the first movie. Love the new headsculpt with those big blue eyes too :)

But the stores over here are pretty crappy. They don't carry a lot of the ROTF toys. I haven't seen any of the Leaders yet, only Voyager Starscream and from the Deluxes only Bumblebee and Soundwave :monkey2

All the paints i use are Testors Acrylics, i get them at hobby lobby, but you can probably find them at most hobby stores, not places like wal marts anymore though.

I ended up rebuilding Megatron's gun arm to be articulated and look a little more like it did in the movie:

Oh most definitely, i doubt he could look like a proper tank again, i haven't actually tried it yet, technically the arm is just the turret and it could still work it'd just have the big blade and end on it.

Thing is i have no interest in his alt modes, his tank mode is crappy and since he can't do the jet it's not that great anyway, he barely went into alt mode in the movie and he's always displayed in bot mode for me, so its more important that that look right.

Did you take apart the figures prior to painting and prime them...or did you just paint over the plastic? And are they hand-painted or was an airbrush used?

The really look great!

That is one hell of a custom megatron. I would have no problem sacrificing his tank mode which doesnt look anything close to what it did in the movie.

I don't prime any of these figures, i find it unnecessary, all paints directly applied to the figure.

As for the arm mod itself, it's hard to explain, i mostly did it on a whim and with no real plan just kinda went with what i could manage as i broke it apart.

basically the solid gun arm was snapped apart, above the protrusion that has the tab for locking the barrel down in tank mode, this was what looked roughly like his elbow area, and where the new elbow was planted in.

Then i took off the flip down shield/blade assembly, i snapped the shield into 3 pieces, the two outside panels, and the inside section with tray for the blade. I removed the blade and snapped the inside section into two pieces and took off its inner edges so i could get just the small barrel looking sculpted plates. I then used those, and the two outside panels to build the big underside shape you see with the small spike (which was the two separate spike ends shaved and glued together). This required lots of shaving sanding and spacing up to get them to rough together into a shape then lots of superglue to get them all together and on the arm.

The blade was then glued on with the two swing arms for the flip down assembly slightly modified to fit onto a section of the gun arm which had small circles i shaved off, then everything glued in place so the sword is always out, prefer that and referencing one big pic i had of him it had that look, cannon in the middle, one look hooked blade and one shorter spike.

The ELBOW, was the ankle/foot from a protoform prime, i took the ball and the foot, used the ball and its peg into the upper arm with some slight modification and fitting, and the foot heavily carved down and plugged into the lower arm, so now he has a ball swivel elbow that rotates completely and goes up and down.

It was a bit complicated and as i said i didn't have a plan just started snapping the arm into pieces to see what i could get and what i could do, not something i'd recommend if your the least bit weary about messing it up, my concerns weren't huge i figured i could always just glue him back together the old way if i had too.

The arm is articulated in bot mode, the sound effects/light up with the shoulder movement still work, and i put him in tank mode and it works fine, he just has a big fat honkin end on his barrel so it looks a bit funky.
