Picked up Dirge this weekend at the TRU sale...pretty complicated transformation for a deluxe figure.

There are rumors on the TF boards of a WFC Arcee, too. May not be perfect G1, but would have less of an Animated look.

At this point in time I'm more inclined to go with the Impossible Toys version anyway because it looks pretty much perfect, I don't trust Hasbro not to make some sort of screwup.

Okay, maybe I'm an idiot, but I've been trying to get WFC Bumblebee into a decent looking car mode for about a half hour. The only Youtube video I can find has the guy transforming him from car mode to robot mode, which is useless since he comes in robot mode.
Anyone have any idea if the Hasbro instructions are fucocked, or is it just me? I'm muttering to myself like ____ing Renfield over here.

I am so glad that FOX is out of Transformers 3!
I'm not. Her elimination the day after shooting began means one of two things:

1. The script will suffer severly from major ongoing rewrites occurring as the film is being shot, or:

2. The script was so bad to begin with that they can eliminate the second most important human character without it making any difference.

Basically, there's no way this can bode well for the film's script. If they'd eliminated her character a year ago it'd be a different story.

Wasn't the script being horrible a given when they typed the title page?

I mean, I like the movies for what they are but the scripts are both abysmal.

I'm with Spanbauer on this one.

Getting rid of Mikaela is going to end up as too much of a plot device. Spielberg has always wanted to really push the "human" aspects of the story and Bay just wants to have giant robot-battles. Giving Sam Witwicky even more of a reason to be a whiney, angst-ridden brat because he lost his girl is going to take more time away from the Transformers themselves. This was one of the major problems of ROTF - too much people stuff and not enough robots.

Now alternatively, if they just glaze over the Mikaela situation by having it all happen off-screen, it will just look like a slap in the face (particularly to Megan Fox). Having one of the major characters dropped that hard and then having a new love interest pop-up will eat up too much plot time and I need that time for Transformers. This isn't some crazy romance movie.

This third movie should just go back to being about the Transformers, with little human interaction. Maybe they go back to Cybertron to rebuild. Maybe Unicron goes and eats Earth. I don't care. Megs really doesn't have a reason to be on Earth now that the Allspark and the Fallen are gone. He should just pack it in and go invade Mars.

Oh, and the FAIL that was Mudflap/Skids should indicate that they really need to push the G1 character types and stop trying to be original.

I think painting over the red squares on the body yellow and knees blue would make that Optimus way better looking, maybe some white around the outside of the ab area as well.

I am loving those figures, but it's an absolute crime that Bumblebee is almost a head taller than Prime....

I haven't had them both transformed at the same time so I didn't notice. That is too bad but I'm really impressed with them otherwise. Aside from B's last step to car mode being a serious pain in the A. Very complex for deluxe figures. Optimus' transformation is excellent. Just complicated enough and very original.

I don't they're supposed to be looked at as in scale with each other. That's like saying TFTM/ROTF deluxe Brawl is too short compared to dexlue Jazz. I'm sure if the initial reaction to the game and figures is favorable, more figures will be released in different class sizes.

I would totally buy a Leader WFC Prime. His vehicle mode is badass.

I think the reason I like it so much is because it reminds me of the Batman TAS Batmobile a little.

The script for the first film was perfectly functional as a story; whether it was an enjoyable story is another question. The script for the second film though was held together with bubble gum and duct tape; I would have hoped that, with no writer's strike forcing insane deadlines, the third film's script would be better written. But now with major rewrites underway as the film is being shot, I am very doubtful.

I really like some of the War For Cybertron designs. I'm planning on picking up the deluxe versions, but would love it if they made some of them in voyager or leader size classes.

Yeah, Prime ( & Megatron as well ) should have been a Voyager.

The mold is still nice though and I'll get one when Kapowtoys get theirs in stock or if a miracle occurs and the Generations wave gets an official retail release over here.

I should have the 2-pack of Shadow Warrior repaints soon so I'll post some pics of 'em with Music Label Soundwave.
