Movie BB was never actually "gold" anyway. He had a candy yellow paint job which is as far from gold as you can get, so im glad they switched the colors.
I didnt want Battle Op BB before but now im tempted. Not sure if he's worthy of the MP name though but whatever.

Yeah, but the gold really worked quite well for him in robot mode. Helped give him that premium look.

Looks like I'll be needing 2 of this guy. 1 to display as Rodimus and another to keep in Hot Rod's alt. mode

HELL YEAH! this is what I've been waiting for. Kick ass paint job, lots of chrome, and an awesome Hot Rod alt mode. I was very tempted by the gray prototype, but I had to be sure before I pre-ordered.

Hmmm. Not to be a Debbie Downer but the Hot Rod vehicle mode looks funky to me. The wheels look small and the piping points down. Bot mode looks great, though. Does he come with a fishing pole?

True it does look a little off, but I can live with that. A fishing pole would be cool as well.

Fishing pole, Matrix chamber and the buzzsaw hand are must have accessoires, IMO. Hopefully it'll come with Firebolt as well!

Picked up Animated Rodimus Minor and WFC Optimus, great great figures..love Optimus's transformation.

I gave Rodimus Optimus's canon, hate the crappy bow.

I don't even watch the ____ing show, maybe watched a min here and there from clips off Youtube.I buy these mainly as pieces to go a long side the vintage figures. I only bought the ones i found appealing, Rodimus, Blurr and Soundwave(V1).

I do like the character design of Hot Rod/Rodimus in both modes though, partially agree with your statement about Optimus blowing Hot Rod's head off. I never did like the way Rodimus stored the Matrix, really dumb.

What? Just because he butts in to the most epic battle in TF history and gets the greatest leader ever killed, then spends a few months as a Detolf for a Matrix of leadership that turns him into mobile home? Pfft.
Nobody ever talks about his healthcare plan...

Eh, Rodimus doesn't entirely suck. The cartoon version does, but the comic version kicked ass.

Hot Rod/Rodimus has actually become one of my favorite G1 characters.

I was more upset that the rest of the original Autobot team was killed in the movie than Prime, especially Ironhide.

Optimus Prime is like Superman for me: way too damn perfect and "god-like" to be interesting or relatable. He bores me in most TF continuities. As a character, I strongly preferred Rodimus to Optimus in G1.
