I have the Hasbro one and to me its really, and I really love the whole Generations line in general. I know that the United figures are supposed to have better paint apps, but other than that I'm not too sure. Personally, I dont want to pay the extra money for a little nicer paint app on a toy.

I say both are great and its simply just a matter of how much your willing to pay.

Drift was the original character the mold was made for. Blurr is the repaint/retool.

If you have no luck finding one I happen to have a Drift for sale.

My bad, I meant to say that since I recently got blurr and knew drift was never seen for a while in my area. Thanks for the offer I'll keep you in mind.

As for battle blade bumblebee, is he a good purchase? While searching online I only found out they made him. I like the battle mask and arm cannon gimmick. Should we expect a DOTM retool of this version?

He's probably the best Movie Bumblebee's so far although it still needs a decent custom paintjob to look really outstanding.

A DOTM retool is probably inevitable seeing as how Hasbro milk every other Bumblebee mold until they crumble.

DPrime,
Generations Drift is decent but the United one has the brighter white plastic like Jazz so I'd go for that one. I ordered one a while back but it got lost in the post and by the time I got my refund the ebay price had risen too much for me to still want one as Drift isn't really a character I'm that into.

This is a commissioned piece. Only modifications are the removable hood (from robot back) new hands, and an additional gun (which fits/clips into forearm) Also, shown is the Corbot War Axe (awesome 3rd party toy)

Glowing parts were painted with Kustom Kolors custom mix of flor. orange and pink. Photos were taken with black light (and original lighting set up)

Good to know.

Seems like the Japanese version of Classics is almost always the better one... The only ones I can think of getting the US versions over them at this point are Wheeljack, Sideswipe (maybe?) and Inferno... I know you recommended RTS Grapple too but is there any reason it's better than the Japanese version?

Sucks that I seem to be getting into this as the prices are soaring... Is this a temporary thing or what?

We'll probably see a repaint of some kind, but nothing else. There is no need to remold it with the all new deluxe molds.

Though I wouldn't say no to a Cliffjumper remold; the proportions, tall stature and armament would make it a perfect fit.

And here's the first look at Hasbro MP Rodimus Prime! It has a few goodies, but strangely enough, comes in toy colors.

United Grapple turned out a bit lazy compared to the initial pics, the crane hook wasn't chromed, a couple of other details weren't painted and the headsculpt wasn't molded in yellow plastic and there's been reports of the yellow paint being a bit iffy so I didn't consider it worth the extra.

Henkei Inferno on the other hand is one of the best Japanese versions of a Hasbro mold.

I've not really been keeping track of prices too much but it seems the various incarnations of the Classics are always in demand, whether things will change over time I don't know.

Thanks, I think I'll get it. I know a local toy store who has a couple of it for $15. Can't believe how hasbro is going cheap on the paint on the DOTM toys.

Is the TRU exclusive worth getting since he don't come with the trailer? I wonder if they'll have a TRU or walmart exclusive for the new MP Prime.

Here's a commissioned Human Alliance Cliffjumper. This time, I went with a brighter shinier red, new head and some nice racing stripes. Transformed him a little differently (in the legs) to help differentiate him from Bumblebee.

Assuming that all the issues have been fixed, it's very much worth it. The lack of a trailer is a shame, but this will probably retail for $70 and comes with some extras. Whether the trailer and more toon accurate paintjob is worth the extra $130, is up to you to decide. Though if you do get the Takara version over this, then at least make sure to get the upcoming re-release, which will have most of if not all the QC problems fixed.

The only MP I'm missing are thundercracker (still waiting for a US release ), and RP then ofcourse the new Prime.

And with all the variety of concept Camaro BB I hope to see a more movie accurate 1974 Camaro BB.

Time for the iGear haters to eat some humble pie,

https://www.tfw2005.com/transformer...1/igear-ratchet-and-ironhide-revealed-172332/

Who cares that they're not official, they're so far ahead of any official attempt at a G1 style Ironhide & Ratchet that the lack of license is utterly irrelevant.

It's definitely impressive, and it's good to see that they can do something other then churning out nice headsculpts and knock off bodies. But there's something about the proportions that I don't like. And it's a complete and utter FAIL that he can only look up by swiveling the entire neck-piece up.

Too bad... does the US one suffer from any bad points?

Maybe it's just me, but the Henkei version just seems more, I don't know "toy-like". I think it's the brighter red.

But then again, I haven't seen these in person yet, so all I've got to go by are pics...

I've not really been keeping track of prices too much but it seems the various incarnations of the Classics are always in demand, whether things will change over time I don't know.

Yeah, seems that way. May just have to bite the bullet!

Hasbro's can't look up AT ALL unless some kind of mod is made and looks awful in both modes.

DPrime,
There's no problems with my RTS Grapple, I may paint the crane hook chrome silver but that's all that really needs doing.
