i wish the yellow chest parts would have been yellow translucent, like the original toys, but the insecticons do look good

Hope it's true!
Encore Devastator is now up for PO at BBTS!

Nice... but one of the few original TFs I have, and in super minty condition. Glad to see Encore's continuing on, though.

I think what's slightly offputting with the first one is that his front pincers become wrist mounted blades in robot mode instead of sticking out over each shoulder like the G1 toy so he looks a bit different from the familiar outline we're used to seeing.

Upon closer inspection it appears that his rear insect legs recreate that and the wrist blades look like they may slide over those so it should be possible to have the traditional Shrapnel look :rock

Hmm, very nice. But still... I don't know, something a bit off about all of them. I will think about it, but I'm not sure these are what I want from new G1 Insections...

I remember seeing a pic that showed that they can indeed be put in their proper place, but I don't have it saved, or remember where I saw it. :( I'll look around though, maybe I can find it again.

EDIT: HYMN, it should come out sometime in the next 2 or 3 weeks.

And new pics of not Scavenger:

I'm really underwhelmed by it. It was off putting enough that he doesn't really look like the original toy nor the cartoon character, but what kills it for me is the paintjob. For $100, it should really be a lot better. And why the hell does he have parts that are more blue then purple, while the test shot does have the right colors? And why are the legs completely black? I can understand not wanting to make the threads purple, but they could at least slap some color on there to break up the black and make it a bit more reminiscent of the G1 version.

I don't know, I still like it.

Is it really that different than the G1 version(s)? Looks good enough for me.

I think it's a case of "3rd party hater's disease" striking again :)

For me TFC Scavenger being unlike the G1 toy is a damn good thing as the original Constructicons were ugly little brickformers with a combined mode that was pathetic.

TFC's Constructicons are all around Deluxe scale, have great poseability and have more than enough design cues taken from various G1 based sources to be easily recognisable but because they're not official products they get subjected to ridiculous amounts of scrutiny whilst Hasbro get an easy ride even though their cheapness seems to know no limits.

Though I have made up my mind that I will be getting these, I think the biggest draw back in this "Devastator" is the shear cost for each figure. $100 for each figure is a lot of money by any stretch of the imagination. I'm just hopping that each figure at least comes with a piece that will make devastator (forearm, hand, head, or thighs). If they make it so that these other pieces have to be purchased separately at the end of the figure releases then we know for sure $100 price tag is way too much!

No extra thigh or forearm parts are required as the individual Constructicons are designed to keep partsforming to a minimum.

Each Constructicon will have a part related to which limb they form ( Scavenger will include an articulated Devastator hand ) and it looks as if some of them will store somewhere on the vehicle mode.

Says the guy who rants on 10 dollar figures for not resembling the original characters enough and having too few paint apps...Yet who applauds a 100 dollar figure that does exactly the same thing. :dunno

And yeah, the design is off. Mostly in the head and chest, though the lack of purple legs bother me the most. It's Devastator! Green and purple is his thing! They should embrace that fully! :lol

Perhaps in the past this would have been accurate.

Nothing Hasbro does intrests me any more :peace

Hi guys. Ive been gone a while due to pc problems, and ive lost all my damned bookmarks! So im trying to find all my old hang outs, but my memory is useless due to health issues so i was wondering if anyone could please help me? Basically im looking for other tf websites and forums that i might have been a member of.
So besides TFWank, Seibersuck, and the allspark and tformers what other tf websites are out there, US, UK or Asia based?
Wish i could remember them all :slap
Thanks!

Enter Ironhide. This epic leader class figure is one of my favorites by far. Always have been a fan of Ironhide, and Hasro's done him just with this 9½ inch Leader Class figure from the Dark of the Moon movie. This is a non-transforming representation of the character.

I went to town on this guy. Here's a list of the upgrades and modifications :

- Added articulated custom hands, which pivot and combine parts from the existing fists (brass knuckles!)
- 2 scratch built custom cannons attached to the backs of his forearms, each has 2 LEDs, his left cannon lights up red, his right cannon lights up blue
- repositioned chest truck wheels
- rebuilt head (added larger "wings" on sides)
- Swapped in bright BLUE LED in his eyes
- Head is now on a ball joint
- Face shield/mouth plate pops on using a small, yet powerful rare earth magnet
- Removed some excess plastic from inside the knees allowing Ironhide to stand up straighter and taller
- Custom license plate
- Completely custom built back using all the hacked off parts un-needed
- Working LEDs in front headlights and orange turn signals
- Ankles replaced with ball joints
- Feet rebuilt, added toes and heels
